I agree but all Haitians will vouch for the 5 stars Rhum Barbancourt.

Yes, I had no idea there were several different types. The one I had was BARBANCOURT SPECIAL RESERVE 5 STARS

Kremass sounds really good !!!!!!!

I agree!!! Looks like it would taste like dessert in a glass ;)

There are 3 Grappa's that I also really enjoy produced by Bottega Distillery, they taste like dessert in a glass as well, even though it's grappa these aren't as strong as Grappa on it's own (which is my ATF)

Chocolate
White Chocolate
Limoncino
Dark Chocolat (Nero) - This one is a bit Syrupy but goes great on ice cream or body parts ;)

Wherever you go in the Caribbean they think their rum is best. Jamaicans say their rum is best, Puerto Ricans say it's theirs, Nicaraguans say bullshit to that, it is ours. It's a national pride thing. Wherever there is sugar cane there is rum. National pride is part of the marketing of the product.

In my opinion it's all good.

I have tried Amarula and it is indeed in the same family of cream liquors as Bailey's, but it is made from a South African fruit which grows on the Marula trees. It's cheaper than Bailey's but is very similar and worth a try if you like Bailey's.

Oh man Southern Comfort is my go to Poison all year round, usually have it on ice... or in my home made BBQ sauce :thumb:
Have to try it in eggnog next week, why didn't I ever think of that?

Jack Daniels Honey

Based on suggestions in this thread I did pick up a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey. To me it falls into the Fireball category of flavored whiskey liqeurs, except that it is a tad stronger than Fireball (35% alc. vs. 33%), has more of a whiskey taste than Fireball, and is not as sweet as Fireball. It's basically a lite whiskey or whiskey lite. I liked it.

good lord... its rubbing alcohol with brown colouring, thickened with fake honey and god knows what else... it will kill all your taste buds. I recommend to pour the rest of it down the toilet and go get yourself a bottle of Highland Park 18 (or an Ardbeg Uigeadail if you like them peaty), a civilized drink...

Ok, I am happily indulging in the Evan Williams egg nog. This stuff rocks! Thanks for the recommendation, EB.

It's too bad it's only seasonal. They sold out of it at the two liquor stores closest to where I live, but not before I bought 5 bottles of it for my own personal consumption. All of which is now gone.

Holiday Liquor season has arrived. I just went to my local liquor store and they had at least 10 huge boxes of Evan Williams egg nog on display. I bought two bottles. If anyone wants any and can't get it in Montreal let me know. It's the best on the market and only costs $10(USD) a bottle. Evan Williams has been making Egg Nog since the 1700s and they know what they are doing!!!!!!

Caveat: not sure how many bottles I would be allowed to bring over the border. Probably one-

Creme de Grand Marnier.
I used to drink a 750ml bottle like it was chocolate milk.
Too much of it made me quit drinking.

I brought a bottle of Fireball to the recent XO party!!!!!! Not really a holiday liquor per se but it is my favorite shot liquor and is a good shot liquor to accompany any holiday "main beverage"!!!!

I did not even realize they made a cream liquor out of Grand Marnier. I will look for it.

I have not seen it lately.
It is like Bailey's with an orange twist, it's very good.
It is deceptively potent, you don't notice the alcohol and then you fall off your chair.

While i've sworn to stay away from Fireball until at least the holidays, last week during a gathering i won a prize during an early bird raffle. Guess what i won??

Yep, a bottle of Fireball. It seems like for whatever reason, Fireball is finding its way to tempt me once again. I'm telling you, this brand of liquor is evil!!
