I have a request But don't be cruel with me !! Cela serait intéressant d'avoir une nouvelle section qui s'apellerait Indy.....Je trouve qu'il y a de plus en plus d'indépendantes dans le milieu et elles ne sont pas assez mise en valeur vu qu'elle se fondent dans la masse des agences..... quand une personne cherche une indépendante elle doit chercher longtemps..
alors qu'en pensez-vous ?

An Idea Whose Time Has Come!

A great idea. Traffic for this might be a bit slow at first but there are some who find that there are advantages to using independents and would welcome promotion and discussion along these lines. Also merb members could find such a discussion useful to learn what's out there and to become more discerning in their choices.

Isabelle, it might be an idea to translate for the sake of clarity. After all a good part of the client base is English speaking only. It would be great if all could read French (I can by the way with some facility) but that is not the reality.

My Idea is why don't we have a section for indy ? we are more than before and if someone of you guys looking for an indy it's very difficult because a lot of indy was dissimulte by the agencies..so what do you think about that is it a good idea or not...Je ne suis pas sûre que c'est bien traduit je ne veux pas insulter personne m'y ai-je bien prise ? Sinon S"V"P" traduire pour moi......pleease......hihi

She is wondering if the time has come for an INDEPENDENTS section on merb, separated from the agency section. The feeling is that reviews, ads, and so on, get lost in the sheer volume of agencies (which make sense because you have multiple ladies to review... an indy is on her own and cannot generate the same volume).

It sounds great, but it also would be a great benefit to indy ladies, so I suspect that it may not be acceptable to merb, since advertising is what merb would like to see ladies doing. I imagine if enough advertising indies got together and requested such a section, merb might be lore likely to take note.

Actually Anik MERB is about sp's their clients and reviewing. If MERB can make a buck on the side with advertising, more power to it. It helps to defray costs. Doesn't change the fact of the real purpose of it all. All other interests must become subordinate to that. An additional section devoted to Independent sp's would enrich what this site has to offer. Seems like a "must do" to me.

Excellente idée qui va prendre un certain temps avant de se réaliser parce que le nombre de véritables indépendantes est encore trop bas. Ce serait d'autant plus souhaitable car il me semble impossible de demander à ceux qui écrivent sur ces sites de penser à inclure le mot "indépendant" dans le titre.

Peut-être y aura-t-il aussi un jour plus de commentaires concernant les indépendantes et de publicités de leur part lorsque ce site ou un autre site semblable visera davantage le marché francophone (peut-être un beau projet à réaliser Isabelle).

Le problème vient largement du fait que les titres n'incluent pas le mot "indépendante".

Prenons simplement ton cas. Si le titre ne fait que référer à "Isabelle" ou "parfum d'isabelle" je suis vraiment en peine de savoir que tu est une indépendante.

It is so true because i have been trying to find out who is independent.
I will be distributing a magazine for sex workers, ( produced in NY ) by sex workers from all over the globe, about Sex Work and i am having a truly hard time.
