Yeah I live in Canada. Are you from US? In Canada, 120 is considered a lot of money. I think Doctors here make only 150. VP/Directors at banks are like 170

Well 120K is a lot in Montreal. I'm in Hospitality and that pays about 85K in Montreal if you're lucky as in specialized. In US I used to make 3x that. I figured all professions paid lower here and it was normal.

Most people are struggling to keep up with the cost of life, especially since covid, you are pretty fortunate if you are making >$100,000 salary in Canada right now, in general.

You are right Montreal is far from the riches of Toronto or other big US cities but you need to take into account that if someone makes a good salary in this great city it could be more than enough for him to enjoy this hobby...higher taxes yes but the cost of living is much lower ....I’m also guessing that most who posted above those big budgets come from outside Quebec
