Clint Eastwood's Hacksaw Ridge
I heard that this is the battle for the ridge on the Japanese home island of Okinawa. I believe the Japanese would re-infiltrate the ridge through a network of tunnels several times after the ridge was thought to have fallen.
Read With the Old Breed: Peleliu and Okinawa if you want to understand how these campaigns were fought. I am glad I never had to see this but I think it is important to understand the sacrifices that the Greatest Generation made while fighting a suicidal enemy on a shoe string budget due to the Germany first strategy adopted by the allies.

I saw "Rogue One". It tries to fill in what happened leading right up to the original Star Wars and how the rebels got the opportunity to blow up the Death Star. The usual amazing screen dynamics and lots of action, especially in the final action scenes which are very long a detailed. It also included several CGI scenes with one of the original villains who died in 1994, and a brief scene with another very key character.
