C'est bizarre. Pour moi, l'expression en français est plus vaste que la traduction anglaise. Ça me fait comme court, sec en anglais.

C'est fort possible que le sens de cette phrase est un peu différent dans le français de Québec. C'est souvent le cas avec l'anglais et l'américain.
In American English people often say "Who knew?" - short for "Who would have thought?"
