Hello GG,

I am all for animals. But when I heard on CNN this morning that Vick could get up to 40 years for the combined counts he faces, I have to wonder if this is getting a bit ridiculous considering the sentences received by some who kill humans under one circumstance or another. Even the "Hockey Dad" didn't get half that for viciously beating to death a much smaller man and separating his brain from it's spinal cord with crushing punches to the head. In any case Vick seems to be more of an accessory to the malicious abuse of these dogs than the actual culprit. Does anyone really think 40 years is anything like appopriate for his offenses???

Not me,

Let him rot in the desert hanging from a cactus with his genitals taped to that tree and left slowly to die in sun.

Sounds good to me,.

Good idea but don't forget to cover him with honey and invite some red ants to the picnic.

Hello guys,

It looks like Vick-Hating Season is still running very strong...and not without very good reasons. Of course, if many of us were to be the judges of child-molesters, murderers, rapists, thieves, and those who kill while driving drunk, torture fatalities would take care of many who are currently in prison. But since we are a society of humane laws, the current fashionable lust for cruel retribution is little more than self-righteous venting out of proportion to real justice. If you want to make a point of proving how much you love animals by showing your rage against Vick then do so. But the guy certainly isn't a Hitler or Dahmer and it is nonsense to imply he is.

Get real,

Korbel

So Michael's going to suit up tonight although he can't play in regular season games for a while. He has served prison time and lost millions and millions of dollars.

Thank goodness for the sensible people in the NAACP who are going to demonstrate for his rights tonight:

"J. Whyatt Mondesire of the Philadelphia chapter of the NAACP told The Associated Press that his group and the Black Clergy of Philadelphia were planning a march for tonight.
"We believe Michael Vick has served his time, paid his debt to society and deserves a second chance, and the animal-rights groups want to hold him hostage for the rest of his life," Mondesire said, according to ESPN.com.
"We think that's patently unfair," he said. "It denies Michael Vick's basic civil rights, denies him his ability to make a living."

MIchael spent more time in jail then William Calley of My Lai infamy. Animal rights protesters are still on his case. No one is attempting to prevent the torturers of the CIA from continuing their profession.
