When will Montreal market pick up again ?

Why are agencies offering all kind of rebates or specials...something is happening with the users....they are better consumers?
HDH...on their own...I am told the market is still strong but not as it should be!
Compare current rates with those prevailing three years ago...we consumers are the winners!

I forgot to add that another reason for the decline in HDH business this year is also due to the fact that it's cheaper for visiting hobbyists to stay home since several HDH agencies and independents travel to their area now. They save on travel, accomodations, and expenses. In the past, with a struggling Canadian dollar, it was still a bargain to travel to Mtl.

JaJ, this is true. IN/CN has girls in LA every week now, and in many convenient locations including Orange County (smart marketing). Of course it costs double the average rate in Montreal but I justify it by saying I save on airfare, hotel, etc. And they are at the LA average rate of US$300. Many of the new girls tell me they work traveling only and don't work in Montreal because they are afraid they will meet someone they know. (Perhaps a good way to recruit?)

I don't know about the current Montreal economy but I would say it's more of a case of the hobbyist becoming more educated with available information on the internet and we realize we don't need to spend $300 when we can get the same quality for $140-$180. At least this is my personal experience.

But....... I can't wait to visit Montreal again soon. I have a very long list of girls to see.

It been slow for the last 25 years!

Montreal has been slow since the separatist got in. Montreal has been loosing head offices and there has been an exodus of educated young people leaving quebec for better paying jobs since that time.
If you think things are rosie now, wait till the next election when the Partie Quebecqois get in again. The liberals have been doing their job of cutting back, but doing the right thing does not always get you elected.
We live in a world econnomy now. Quebec can not stand alone.

In a city of 9 millions like Montreal, with immigrants from Eastern Europe and the Middle East, I would expect zillions of new escorts for all price rane, from LDH to MDH, to HDH.

Remember here, we are talikng about a large population here, so I do not have to separate the classes.

When I said slowdown, I mean there are no or fe additions.
2 or 3 additions, cancelled by 2 or 3 leaving means no growth.
Even with nobody leaving, a few additions is very very small, negligible.
Look at TO in the late 90s early 2000s, with the influx of EE.

If the business is booming, I would expect to see zillions of new ads on both paper and web sites.
Instead, all I see is a few additions, cancelled by a few leaving here and there.

Rememeber, we are talking about a large population here.
I would like to see zillions and zillions of new additions, to satisfy my thirst.

For a booming market, I need new pictures almost from on a daily basis.

With an insatiable and horny market like Mtl, I don't know how you can't have new additions, zillions of them.

Maybe I am missing something.

Is there an underground market here in Mtl somewhere ?

There is approx 2 millions in Montreal Metro ...not 9

The ad in the Journal of Montreal for the SEX section now costs 5 times what it did in 2001. When you run an ad that costs the same as selling your ol PC, it was worth it, so the pages ran columns after columns.
Now all the ads are in the Montreal Mirror (for anglophones) and Journal de Montreal for francophones.
The agencies see the ROI with running only in those two papers.

As for websites, I don't keep up statistics but I do know that there are more. They simply choose not to do it on MERB and have small time ad like
