Weber is definitely worth the money just make sure to buy a good one not a store brand Weber.

Really? this is the first I ever hear of this. Can you expand on this please? I've bought 2 from Home Depot seem legit to me...

Some of the box stores have a model manufactured for them. They look and work like a Weber but are at a lower price point so they use lesser quality components. Many times there are other weber models in the store that are not exclusive to the retailer and are of better qulaity. the store version is still better than most but not quite as good as a true Weber.

How can Weber possibly stand for dilution of THEIR products with THEIR name on them in this manner? This honestly makes no sense. I paid $500 for my Weber in 2015 and if I determined that what you posted above is true, I would sue both the box store where I bought it (Home Depot) and Weber for fraud. I suspect others would too. I did not pay $500 in order to get a shit, substandard grill made from substandard parts.

What also makes no sense is that Home Depot is selling Weber replacement parts and I do not recall them being particularly cheap.

Around the corner
I have a Weber that I paid $1200 for from Home Depot it does not seem or work as some kind of sub standard grill.
It is miles apart from a few of the cheaper brands that I have had before.
I am very satisfied with my Weber it works great.

I had at least 3 different BBQ .. and i ended up with the Napoleon ! When you have a big BBQ doesn’t mean nothing..! But the precise temperature control make all different. Most of BBQ are too hot or not enough! I love the Napoleon for its great feature. !

First thread I found about BBQ's. I BBQ throughout the year, wind rain and snow.
Have a Weber with propane start and also use flavored wood chips ( soak overnight in water ). Last fall purchased the thermapro wired meat thermometer with 4 probes, have not had a bad steak since, set the type of meat and how you want it and done ( need to sear both sides first IMO ). For coals they have chips natural lump charcoal for fast lighting and quick heat instead of the traditional briquettes.
Happy BBQing.

I do the same at home with a small port-a-chef. It's the smallest I found with 2 level grill.
I also designed, prototyped and built a lightweight grill box for my RV. It sit on top of a low pressure bumper popup stove (20K BTU per burner) which I also designed and constructed for quick setups.
