I probably said it before but ill say it again. 50% of pornstars are openly available if you know the agencies and willing to do their screening process. Add another 25% available UTR either at said agencies or trough more backdoors (contacts like you book friends of them, or you are recommanded by another client). There is obviously a % that are not available at all for various reasons but its likely under 25%.
I mean i could pull out my top 100 favorite pornstars list across the years since i was old enough to watch and over 75% of them would be confirmed to have done it at some point. And thats not counting some that i can't find info but may be deep UTR. Even the highest of the highest pornstars from different eras have done it. Gina Lynn, Krystal Steal, Jenna Haze (for the 2000s) , even Jenna Jameson apparently did it shortly for extreme ammount of money. Briana Banks another huge name in the Vivid days was openly announced.
As someone pointed out above there is 4 major agencies for pornstars right now. Tryst (not the advertising site for indies), porncompanions, alluring intros and Lourdes (website is more hidden). Im not sure if they still operate but perfection models (no website) was known to have some huge names at some point (Madison Ivy, Bridgette B) but the booker was difficult to work with.
And of course there was tons of agencies who closed for various reasons (sometimes LE involved) like The Luxury Companion, Bella models etc

I’ve always believed that escorting is a gateway to porn & that the majority of porn stars are available for take-out for the correct amount of money. They do earn their living off their body & by committing sex acts, after all. And not only the females. Male pornstars have done it also & some of the better known ones even performed gay acts. Some of them weren’t even gay but when they look at their bodies as a tool to earn a living it justifies it. It’s like an actor or actress performing a role. Make-believe. No different than an escort who isn’t into women interacting with other women in a threesome or kissing a client when they hate kissing strangers because it’s a job & that’s how they earn their living.

Even some of the women in the Miss Nude World beauty pageants were avilable for a price. As one of the hobbyists who banged some of them once told me “Everyone has a price. One night in Vegas one girl kept telling me no, that she never did this & never will. I kept asking & kept raising my offer. She ended up spending the entire night with me.” When i asked him how much he ended up spending on her he refused to tell me. “I paid so much to have her that I’m embarrassed to tell you. But i just had to have her & i did.” Money talks.

True. Once they become known they can charge more. So if they not worried about privacy its a good marketing tool. Its also been very common for strippers to become pornstars and later tour as feature dancers and get way more than they used to.
As for point 2 again very true. From playmate to even tv actresses, with the right connections and ammount of money "your mileage can vary" . UTR is a whole other market.

Quite true. Some pornstars i met were through some of their friends whom i had met previously. It’s similar to other professions also linked to the sex business. One time i was at a well known downtown stripclub & a girl whom had danced a few dances for me asked me my reasons for visiting. That evening i felt like blunt & told her that i was in town for a good time which included attending a few parties & seeing a few escorts & that i had nothing to be ashamed of & didn’t care what people think. She told me that a she had a few colleagues who occasionally did this on the side. I asked her if she was abailable for takeout & she said no. About twenty minutes later a stripper approached me & told me what her friend had told her. She gave me a card with her name & number. I got a couple of dances from her & speaking with her she wasn’t really what i was looking for. Later another girl came by & i got her a drink. We went in the vip & she told me her friend had told her about my activities when i’m in the city. She was more my type. Quite true. And there are so many today that’s it’s very hard to keep up. Back in the day when i started watching porn 80’s-90’s i could probably easily name half the women in porn & most of the guys who performed. It felt like they were a bunch of friends who lived & worked together! And they’d regularly appear in the same movies together & often used their first names as their characters’ names.
