Bo Jackson
He dominated every sport he played in. He could have been a great football & baseball player had injuries early in his career(s) not taken their toll. But in his prime, no one came close.
ESPN 30 on 30 has a great documentary about Bo Jackson. It's shown every once in a while on both ESPN and TSN. Even though i watched him playing for the Raiders and Royals, i never imagined what a great athlete he actually was until i saw that movie.
Even though it was before my time, many have said that Jim Brown was the greatest athlete of all time. He retired at the top of his game before the age of 30. Another great athlete who retired at the top of his game was Sandy Koufax of the Dogers. He retired before the age of 30 due to arthritis issues in his left arm. He stated he feared losing the use of his left arm had he continued to pitch.
