Met Anastasia-Euphoria-- yesterday.........when leaving she asked me what i was going to do.......said will watch hockey............and she replied that she was an hockey fan........and being Russian....Caps was her team..........she loves loves Ovi.........and hopes badly they will win the Cup...........so.....am in good company......

Too tough a question! Apart from the few perennial loser teams that EVERYONE knows about, there are MANY squads that could go all the way if luck and health hold out. These include not only the obvious candidates like the Lightning, Hawks, Habs and Wings but quite a few others as well.

The NHL season is a long grueling 6 months of ups and downs. My pick before the season was Los Angeles. I heard one of the guys on 690am give his picks back in early October and he said Columbus. They seemed to have a very good team overall but so far it is not looking too good for them.

I'm picking the Blackhawks to repeat against Tampa. Tampa you say? Well, their top players are all ready to return from injury. And if big Ben Bishop can stay healthy from now on, there's no reason to believe that they can't make it back to the final.
I can't pick the Rangers. Too inconsistent. Their window of opportunity has just gone by.
But don't count out the surprising Detroit Red Wings. I've been saying all along that they've got a great organization. I've also been saying all along that Jeff Blashill is one hell of a coach and that it wouldn't entirely surprise me if he was as successful as Babcock was in Detroit. Plus the fact that i really like their goalie Mrazek. A future all-star!

We know what team I cheer for. But if they don't win I would like to see the Dallas Stars win. I like some the way they play. As for Tampa Bay, that Stamkos thing will become a distraction in the playoffs if he is not signed.
