So? Considering the big smoke show put up by the Tkachuks and all the bad mouthing that went on. Is this tournament a fiasco for team USA?
I dunno but it does feel good !! There is a reason why some of the legendary hockey games are still remembered like against the soviets etc. In the current political climate, its definately a huge W for Canada.

I know, you dont deprive the winning goal scorer of its player of the game award but, seriously Binnington saved their asses and played one of his best game ever.

What a great show this final was.
I agree. He was great tonight & fantastic in the overtime. He chose the perfect time to play his best game of the tournament!

Lots of credit goes to Jon Cooper for taking Mark Stone & replace him with Mitch Marner. Marner’s two great passes on the game-tying goal by Bennett & on the overtime goal by Mcdavid were game-changers. After the first period i was asking for Stone to be taken off Mcdavid’s line since it was obvious he couldn’t follow Mcdavid & Point. Cooper went back to his original plan & reunited Marner with Mcdavid & the plan worked!

I wouldn’t go that far. Brady Tkachuk was the USA’s best player tonight & Matthew tried to play hurt &.had to give up after a period. It was a fairly even game again & the difference this time is that Binnington didn’t give up any bad goals. Hellybuck was also great & any of the two teams could have won that game. Binnington made a couple of championship-saving saves in the overtime & Canada ended up winning because of a great goal bynthe #1 player in the world set up by Mitch Marner & Cale Makar, the world’s best defenceman. The best players showed up on both teams. MacKinnon played great & won tournament MVP & Matthews was one of the top players on the ice all game long & nearly won it for the Americans. The tournament turned out to be a huge success!

The hockey rivalry between Canada & USA has become the best rivalry in all sports! The past two games between these two countries was some of the most enjoyable hockey i’ve watched in a long time! The next Olympics should be great!

But in the end, without the ultimate victory, the brothers had to swallow their pride and accept the fact that the badmouthing and the 3 fights at the start of the 1st only made them look like fools. You are always one bad turn away from being a genius to the complete idiot.

Exactly & Brad Marchand said the same thing in his post-game interview.

Haha clairement, personne ne s'ennuie du match des étoiles. "La patente à Gary", comme certain me disaient, s'est transformé en un tournoi epic. 2 matchs Canada-USA qui resteront dans la légende.
