And yet here you are still stuffing your nose in my threads while you could have kept scrolling and go on about your day. Guess you’re addicted by the proverbial “shit” that I keep throwing on the wall genius. Go figure! Agree to disagree as always.
Na, you are entertaining in a crude sort of way lol.

Last time I checked, MERB makes money from indy advertising, so by that definition they are pimps too. And yet you are still here.
Merb is no different than Twitter or any other advertising platform with the exception that with reviews it contributes to the safety of Johns and for them to have a descent experience.
They do not take a cut of the Sex Workers income. Neither did the Journal De Montreal in the past when Merb didn’t exist.
I have no problem with people using agencies or MP we are all different and live by different values.
For me they are pimps and I won’t use them simple as that.

I see your point
Maybe you can testify on behalf of the defense of three former owners of Backpage.com who got convicted of multiple counts of promoting prostitution business enterprises last year
We're basically agreeing. Advertisers, photographers, colleagues, etc shouldn't be seen as pimps. These people were convicted because of a conservative policy that doesn't actually care about sex workers safety. A lot of employers of sex workers don't care that much and a lot of them are clients or ex clients who want to benefit from their own business in multiple ways.
Thankfully Mia from Xo started her own female led agency so hopefully things like this won’t happen over there.
I don't know Mia and I'm sure she's lovely. Obviously if an establishment like this is owned by a former or current escort it's more likely to be "better".. but there are still industry standards that are created by men, such as a certain price range, expected services etc how will the business survive if it doesn't copy that model? That's what I'm wondering

A pimp is a pimp is a pimp. being male or female doesn’t change that.
She may just be a kinder and more thoughtful pimp.

According to what I've seen on this forum clients expect to pay a certain rate when they visit a mp or an agency or at least an average. In order to make profit the establishments have to take a part of the sp's pay. If one place starts charging higher because it's more ethical who will visit that place? You know very well what expected services are. I know agency workers are pressured to offer gfe or have to offer it. I've never worked for one but that's what I've heard. Mp rates are relatively similar too and certain places also pressure sps to offer gfe. I feel like you're just making me waste my time

i don't know enough about the mechanics of agencies to judge if they are pimps or not, i remember the Unicorn healers agencies a while ago that was owned and managed by Melody if i'm not mistaken (it's a been a while), i only heard good thing about her from the ladies you used to work with her and yet she was managing an agency.
Is anyone managing an agency is a considered a pimp in your eyes? (open question)

That's a little bit what I was hinting at. But I'm sure some employers are better than others. I don't really know what to think because I don't know this person and I don't know the motives behind owning an agency.

Someone could want to start an agency or own a mp to offer a safer place for sps to work at and have genuinely good intentions.. but it's still for profit so idk if you could say these intentions are "pure"

Never been to a mp so I don’t know what to expect except for LaMontréalaise who advertise that “full service” is on the menu. I don’t know what is a so called “ethical” rate for agencies but I know that prostitution is still regulated by demand and supply so if girls think their salaries is not enough like I said before the solution might be to going indy or finding an actual career.

No one is forcing these women to stay in those horrible working environment tbh, they can walk out after the first shift (many prostitutes appear only once on popular website like Xo or Euphoria and dissapear forever)*.

If that’s how you feel we can end the discussion, no hard feelings.

I know what you mean. There's a difference between a person who is forcing you to work as a SP and not allowing you to quit, and someone who is just an exploitative employer. All I'm saying is that there are nuances of grey in these situations.. and it's not because you can just quit that it means the way your employer is treating you is right. And I agree with you that going indy is a good solution, it's just that I know a lot of people work for agencies or MPs precisely because they can't work as indy's. (too young and inexperienced, no space to work, the indy work load being too much, etc) And yea we can end the discussion here, great idea.
