All these "PSE" and "GFE" of the year threads do is artificially increase expectations, dismiss or distort YMMV factors, and possibly set a girl up for a violent encounter with a bad actor, who gets the short side of YMMV stick because the girl senses he is a bad actor. I am certain that SPs have suffered due to what is posted in these threads.
Hello all,
This is good point in each detail. However, I don't see how labeling the subject as SP changes things all that much. The problem is transfer of information. If all reviews disappeared or had never been written you'd still have all of that backdoor traffic. Even if the latter were the only means of information gathering does everyone really believe all the buddies and friends they exchange with are all great gentlemen. I knew guys who were great in every way as a pal, but some of them with women...peeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!! Once the information is exchanged the process is never-ending. You could be extremely careful, but your buddy might not be or his judgment might not be as good in passing info on to others and the multiplication goes on. Yes, you can cut the odds of abuse, maybe a lot, but not eliminate the problem. Some guys...some of your buds just are the bad guys with women no matter what you think of them personally.
Now let's side aside the risk of "abuse". Guys being guys will try to push it. Some just ask, some let their hands do some gentle hinting, some get more aggressive, some offer extra money incentives, some don't want to hear "NO" no matter what information they've heard or not heard about the lady. As we know from a recent report, even previously behaved and trusted regulars can get out of line.
The SP label will help, but human nature and the chances of excess goes on.
Good luck,
Merlot
