I dunno if Taylor Swift will perform in Montreal or here in Vancouver (though there are rumours) but I was wondering...

When was last time there was a really Big concert in Stade Olympic ? I mean Taylor Swift level with 90 trucks ?

Would Swift perform at Olympic Stadium ? Looks like she just played at Bell Center.

Yes the Eras Tour requires 90 semi trucks.

I know the acoustics are bad in your stadium,

but like BC Place, the roof can be closed so no issue with rain or weather, the only thing I can't understand with Olympic is all the seats are the same original wooden seats from when it was first built in 1976.

No money for new seats ?

BC Place looks fabulous now with half a billion in renos and new Retractable roof But the issue for Vancouver is geography, we are far away from major population centers. Unless a show went to Seattle, Vancouver wouldn't be looked at and in fact she skipped here last tour.

I know the biggest concert ever in Canada was Pink Floyd at Olympic, drew 78,000.

Yes, I was there for Pink Floyd! But this all concrete stadium was a big error. Sure from an architecture point of you it is Montreal's Signature. But that's it. Not good for any sport and a disaster for sound. Last week, Metallica was there, horrible sound! Bell Center is the best choice in Montreal to accommodate 25,000 people and still provide a not so bad acoustic. For the best acoustic in Montreal, "La Maison Symphonique", at La Places des Arts is the best place to listen to real music, not a pop show!

I initially thought Taylor Swift's music was geared towards a female audience. I am absolutely blown away by the fact that people on this forum actually have a taste for her music. I mean, who wouldn't find her songs and performances as exciting as watching grass grow in real life? Personally, I find her style rather lackluster and devoid of excitement.

She could come to Montreal, a lot of fans here but I fear they’d be disappointed if it was at the Olympic Stadium. The acoustics are awful to be polite.

I know Beyoncé was in Toronto and many Montrealers flew/drove there. If it’s your favourite artist, you’ll do whatever it takes.

Side note…this would make an amazing overnight experience if you wanted to book someone. Even a good 5-6 hours date.

It's too bad we can't make good use of the Olympic stadium. It would have been nice to have some World Cup games but for some reason the QC government did not think it was good politcs to pay 100M to renovate it in order to host the biggest sporting event in the world...

Toronto is the only Canadian city she is performing in last I heard. The sound at the Big O is not good either, better for a monster truck show.

Ed Sheeran just broke the Attendance record for BC Place last week : 65,000 ! Biggest crowd in stadium in 40 years. U2 in 2009 drew 63,000. Taylor Swift only managed 43,000 in 2015.

Other than to fill the place for several nights just for the money why would she ever want to perform there ? Money for her is not an issue, she is giving away 10's of Millions so far and will probably continue. The Olympic stadium has the WORST acoustics for a live show and if I was part of her management team I would say forget Montreal !
