It is unacceptable to be asking for tips at the SAQ.
Tipping culture, and expectations are out of hand. What used to be a choice to tip for good service, has become a necessity added tax basically to pay. In cases with waiter/waitresses, if you don't tip them more than 10%, you have only made them pay more taxes for the privledge of serving you now. If they aren't tipped, the government still takes money from them for money they didn't even make. Every table and bill in a restraint needs to be account for so the government can take their share out of the expected amount the waiter/waitresses makes, including their projected tip amount.
What a wonderful idea... let's make this an excuse for the government to demand extra money from even jobs that shouldn't have tips. What's next? The corner store. You now must give a percentage of tip on top of the price you buy milk too? It's a cashier doing the job they are paid to do being a cashier. The tip jar is out of line.
