Let's hope it's split at least 50/50 between the lady and the house.
It's costly to maintain a "nice" incall where both clients and the ladies can have access to "free" WiFi, nice towels and body wash and shampoo and conditioners, solid furniture (imagine doing RCG or doggy on a nice couch and rock and rolling on a "strong" sex bed -- as Laura @ Euphoria, who prefers a king size bed, loves to say), and a decent shower. (Ah, you guys didn't know there are free WiFi at some, if not all, XO's incalls, eh.)
With the crazy traffic throughout Montreal all year around, fuel expenses continue to rise because of the constant detours and slow traffic to get the ladies to the outcalls. Metro and bus fares have gone up. Damn it. Uber applies surcharges almost throughout the entire day these days!
No one is becoming millionaires in this business. And if operating an escort agency were easy, everyone would be doing it, but that's obviously not the case.
I think most agencies let the girls keep the tips or extra money so that extra $10 would be hers. Then again, I've only been with two agencies so I don't really know much
Every 5 years or so on MERB there is a thread like this one. I remember one of the first was on "Les Filles de Mr. Jacques" in around 2004, and another on Asservissante in 2006 0r 2007. Those threads involved rates going from $120 to $140 or $140 to $160 at that time, many screamed bloody murder and how could this happen. It happened. Those agencies continued for long periods after. These are not new developments. It's part of inflation that happens over time. In all businesses and industries. Cost of living increases trickle down to everything. Billing rates in my profession have gone up as well in that time. Why do we expect that the escort industry should be any different than the industries and businesses and professions in which we work?
A small raise was to be expected after quite a few years at 220. If its a 10$ raise good for another 4-5 years i can live with it.
The reality is popular agency ladies are fully booked quite often, they can manage to add this small increase. But if the price would jack up to 350/400, i don't think they would be as booked. Im sure a lot of the 400$ indies (in Montreal) are low volume providers. I don't think they get "8h shift fully book" every nights. It may suit them well that way tough and that is fine. Myself first 400$ is a "think it well" case and i will shred that money only if im 100% sure ill have a super good time, that the lady is DDG (with face pics) and that extras are included in the premium price, and only on rare ocasions.
Now ironically tough i could say that maybe i wish some specific girls would be raised to 300$ or more, maybe they would not be as fully book and they would be easier to book... :noidea:

I think that's also the case here with most top agencies in Montreal (based on some anecdotes I've heard from some of the ladies I've seen). That's how it should be. After all, it's the girls that earned the "extra" donations.

A increase from 220 to 230 is a 4.5% rise. Note expenses such as rent, electricity, gas, wages, laundry costs have likely increased during this time

I have thought the same thing about higher prices for popular girls. If ever you try to get tickets for a popular aritst, the tickets get snapped up fairly quickly. But the ticket seller always has tickets remaining , calling them VIP tickets or dynamic pricing, at a higher price. Maybe they should do the same for popular escorts - calling them VIP bookings. Really bad ..!I want to personally applaud Sam at XO for his initiative - particularly his comitment that this increase will flow through to young women that work in XO!!! I expect that it will trigger similar moves by the other “better” agencies( at least it should) ... and that too is a good thing! It remains to be seen if similar increases at other agencies will also include a commitment to “flow through” any increases to the many deserving young women we are blessed to have in the Montreal “industry”! I think Sam’s progressive approach will soon be matched by at least the better agencies - and that is to the benefit of the girls and the industry in Montreal! I think that Sam deserves credit for his initiative! It will lead to a better experience for all those involved!

Indeed to be An attractive business proposition for Young ladies in Montreal prices need to increase to be more competitive! If you compare prices in Toronto (or Alberta) to Montreal you are probably talking about prices in Montreal averaging $100 an hour less for quality girls! No wonder so. Any Montreal Girls regularly travel “down the road” to the home of the Raptors - to the “big league”!

So count your blessing guys ... you are talking about bargain basement prices in Montreal,

The second part is not really relative, and makes no sense to use the highest average prices in Europe as a comparison while some parts of Europe are as you say, other parts like Spain Portugal are on par with Montreal, Eastern Europe such as Hungary, Romania, Poland, Ukraine are way cheaper, and when you look at Thailand, China then you are looking at half the cost so it all depends on cost of living and where you happen to be.
I don’t begrudge Montreal agency girls the increase it is perfectly normal and they deserve all of it and then some, but let’s not go completely overboard either.

Yeah, totally agree with you. This hobby is quite expensive specially for long sessions. I think is a given to say that the rest of the agencies will follow the price increase. I wouldn't be surprised to see reaching $240 or $250 by 2020.

I had the fortune of meeting the lovely debutante Sophie at one of the newly upgraded XO incall lofts. It's a place I would be proud to live in. Very nice. Lots of places to get busy with the ladies.
I've stayed at many 4 stars hotels in Montreal and, hands down, I would rather stay at the new XO condo where I was received. The dinning table and chairs are very comfortable, the red velvet curved chaise lounger is fabulous and the bed is solid for vigorous actions. The couch is a nice place for RCG, the chaise is good for various positions and the bed is great for sound pounding in mish, doggy and all the rest. The shower is very nice.
I felt like I was home entertaining or was at a lady's home being received. I rather have had my rendezvous at the new incall than at any of the top hotels in Montreal, except for the Four Seasons and the Ritz-Carlton in Montreal.
