First of all, you can’t compare prices of Montreal to some other cities since the cost of living in Mtl is lower compared to some other cities previously mentioned.
Second, let’s go easy on the applause. 230/h is quite a lot of money, I don’t know many people who make that much.
Let’s keep things in perspective. I agree that we are lucky in Mtl with so many wonderful, young ladies. And I do applaud Sam for investing in this business and attempting to make things better for both the SPs and the gents.

i couldnt care less about the decor. the xo condos ive been in thus far were perfectly fine like the euphoria ones. and tbh i preferred euphoria's old haunts. while not luxurious they were adequately furnished, clean, easy to get to, with many stores and other amenities nearby. the euphoria girl ive met most recently misses that place

I know I won't be able to see any girls sooner or later, when price goes beyond the limit. I guess many people here like me can't afford any more indies, with new rates of 350-400h, so hope that agency rates wouldn't increase. (note salaries in Montreal are lower than other cities).
Why not open another thread called "Indy rates going up"? It would be interesting to discuss. They boil up the market recently, and many agency girls want to leave, and agencies will have more difficulty to convince the girls to stay.

Well ... far be it from me to want to spend more $$$ that I have to .... I am not suggesting a $100 increase - even if the “best” agency girls do deserve it (and many Indy girls in Montreal ... of questionable quality already get $300 to $350! My point is that rates in Montreal are a great deal in Canada and internationally (particularly when adjusted for quality). We should not begrudge a small $10 increase ... its nothing (and most commenters here seem to agree) ! First off, I hate it when white knights come on comparing Montreal's rate with rates everywhere else and then have the nerve to congratulate a given agency on how good a choice it was for the increase. What a bunch of kiss-asses. The cost of living is much different here than, say Toronto (or Vancouver, NYC, etc). So it's a moot point, imho. However if DavidCan wants to to pay an extra $100 for his SPs, then maybe he should, lol.

I saw the message from XO stating that the increase is due to the new renovations on the incalls. However XO has some of the best incalls in Montreal already. I don't think any more improvements need to be made. And adding internet service? Cmon...that's not a big expense. I'm surprised they didn't have it already.

$10 isn't that much...but that's how it starts. Then it adds to another $10...then another...etc. I think the increase from $200 to $220 was only 1-2 years ago, if I'm not mistaken.

Anyways like Hungry said: i'll pay it if there's a girl I really want to see from there, but I'm not about to heap praise over it either.

I can’t get too worked up about it. Sam gave his reasons, which were legitimate business reasons. Anyone can conduct their business as they see fit. I suspect the thread hits and publicity XO received from this thread will create more business than it loses, and also Sam posting the reasoning behind his decision may earn him additional credit in the community. In the unlikely event this decision causes him to lose money, he would also be free to reverse it and drop rates. I suspect he will not lose any net business over it.

While I don’t applaud any price increases, they are as inevitable as death and taxes.
