The risk is always there from a BBBJ, however the risk is not great and in most cases easily curable with antibiotics.

Each STI has different incubation periods so you could have had a negative test 3-4 weeks ago and now have an STI which would only show up on your next test.

You can take steps to lower the risk level like CBJ or dental dams, condoms, no oral sex etc…. but the only sure method is not having sex.
Only you know your own comfort level of risk.
