You are absolutely correct. The same types of conflation, misrepresentations and outright lies made by the Liberals and NDP during the deliberations to abolish the long-gun registry, are now used by the Conservatives in pushing for their moralistic Bill C-36. Paradoxically, NDP MP Francoise Boivin, who was the lead opponent to the abolition of the long-gun registry, is now using logical informed arguments to counter Bill C-36. The Conservatives's role is now opposite.

The nanny state that tries to tell me that I'm too stupid and irresponsible to own firearms, is no different than the nanny state that tries to make me into a bad person for being decent and honest enough to want to compensate another human being for the pleasure of her sexual company.

If not there should be. I find it funny when an event happens and people jump over it as actual evidence instead of one data points. Yeah a 9 year old girl gunned down her instructor. Sure he was trained but trained people make mistakes sometimes. The US has over 300 million people, screwed up shit happens.



Not to suggest one law or another. However individual examples are not what policy should be based on, they should be based on logic, ethics and "valid" stadistics.

The Crocodile is the undisputed bite pressure champion in the Animal Kingdom. The hippy on acid didn't make the list.........

Patron every year or so tourist are killed by bear in all parts of canada.

They are our crocrodile... but they will only attack if you surprised them. If they hear you they will leave and most time you wont see them.

The two people who were killed in Alaska by bears in June were killed by black bears, not Grizzlies. Both victims were stalked by the bears that killed them. Both attacks were classified as predatory kills, not defensive attacks. Black bear attacks are much more likely to be predatory whereas most Grizzly Bear attacks result as defensive attacks by the bear when Cubs are approached too closely. This is well documented.

EB is correct, nothing tops the crocodile when it comes to bite force. However, most people don't know that it doesn't have the same strength opening its mouth to bite. You can actually wrap your arms around its mouth really tight and it wouldn't be able to open it. Though if you're in the water with it, it'll probably just take you under.
