THE ROSE BOWL: Oregon State 59, Florida State 20.

I didn't see all of it, in fact I tuned in during the 3rd quarter. Still, just as often happens somehow as soon as I change the channel something awesome happened. Jameis Winston was scrambling for his life, almost totally untouched. He seemed to raise his arm to throw, slipped, and just pissed away the ball to give Oregon fumble recovery for a touchdown that probably sealed the game for the Ducks no matter what next and Florida State collapsed beyond belief giving up the largest number of points in any Rose Bowl ever. Oregon really didn't overpower the Seminoles but the Ducks sure destroyed them when they saw the chance.

Despite ending the first half with a missed field goal, the Seminoles were in a great position after quarterback Jameis Winston led a 10-play, 75-yard touchdown drive to reduce Florida State’s deficit to five.

The Oregon Ducks responded with three touchdowns in the next six minutes and 31 seconds to blow the Rose Bowl wide open.

Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota and the Ducks went 81 yards in just 84 seconds, capped by a 56-yard Mariota touchdown pass to Darren Carrington, to make it a 32-20 game. Two costly Florida State turnovers on the Seminoles’ next two possessions doomed any chance of a repeat national championship.

I wouldn't pick the Ducks for the National Championship based on the way this game became such an error ridden route, but they ran tough with FSU when the game was competitive. They will get a shot and they are very dangerous.
