    Montreal Formula1 Race 2008

I will be at the F1 race June 8th. First time. I want to see HOT chicks and HOT cars. Any suggestions? I don't think I will try to hook up with an SP that weekend. Just want to do lots of "sight seeing". Maybe I'll get lucky!! Where do all the HOT chicks hang out that weekend? Can you get into the garage area and close to the cars and drivers? I will be in section 33 friday, sat and race day. I hope they will release the schedule at www.grandprix.ca soon. Thanks for the advice.

She will be in Watkins Glen, NY with the IRL July 4th. I have tickets behind the pits for that too. It's about a 30 minute drive from my home.

Nope. She races in the IRL circuit. You'll never see a woman racing in F1.

Go to the Thursday Pit Walk

You HAVE to go to the open Pit Walk on Thursday! That is the only time you will get near the pits and cars up close without a fence. This is F1; you problably won't see an F1 driver at all unless you're a VIP sponsor, except in the parade cars before the race.

On Thursday, they will take you in a bus around the circuit to the pits and you can get out and wonder around pit lane and see the garages. They will have some various cars on display, too. Its open 9AM to 1PM only. Enjoy.

There was some in the past :

In 1992 Giovanna Amati raced for Brabham early in the season, but the car was not good, and Amati failed to qualify every time she attempted.

In the early 80's Desire Wilson won the Aurora Formula One series in the UK, which led into her attempting to qualify for the British Grand Prix in an old Williams.

In the 50's Maria Theresa de Filippis took part in several Grands Prix.

Lella Lombardi spent a couple of seasons in Formula One and scored point in the 1975 Spanish Grand Prix.

I went to the GP two years ago & to be honest, it turned out to be my worse trip ever to Mtl!

Crowds everywhere i went, food & drinks overpriced everywhere, almost impossible to go downtown at night, hotels at least 4-5 times their regular cost & Mtl is flooded with stuck-up & arrogant Europeans! I mean, it's totally crazy!! Montreal is too small anyways to hold such a prestigious event. During the race, long lineups for the washroom & at the end of the race, you're all bunched up together like sardines & barely moving for about 1-2 hrs. I swear some people will collapse in these lineups one of these days!

Almost impossible to get sps unless you call at the right time & get lucky. Restaurants are always full, bars are always full, stripclubs always full. It's exasperating!!

Most people i know who've been there have told me the same thing that i just mentionned & most will avoid downtown Mtl at that time of the year (including locals & even some well-known sps!). The only person I know who likes being there at that time is Captain Renault.....everyone else hates it & hasn't gone back. Plus, since Villeneuve & Schumi no longer racing, i dont' have anyone else to cheer for & basically don't give a crap who wins. F1 racing sucks!!! Watch the Indianapolis 500 tomorrow at noon & you'll see what real racing is all about!

I'll never go back during GP week again!!! However, i'll be going down during the NASCAR race this year. Sounds like a lot of fun & the drivers are more approachable and not a bunch of arrogant pricks & the fans attending these events are usually great.

What could I expect to see if I go to the open house? They tell you how to get a pass but nothing about the open house.
