I'm sorry I don't share your enthusiasm for government solutions and anger towards the wealthy. As they say "The Federal government doesn't have a revenue problem. It has a spending problem." I've repeatedly supported Universal Healthcare in the U.S. but God no, I don't want the U.S. government taking over healthcare and healthcare decisions. Jalimon, has lamented several times about our university education not being free. I'd argue that government spending and loans has created a special class of whiny, academians who fleece U.S. college students at their self-indulgent fantasy camps.......oh I mean campuses.

You probably don't read other's comments with different viewpoints or don't fully comprehend the nuances, but I've said several times that the individual tax cuts were silly, but corporate tax cuts were absolutely necessary to bring rates in line with the rest of the industrialized world. The industrialized countries have learned that taxing corporations is not some panacea.

STN, if you were googling articles looking for discussions in the East on pro-oil rallies, perhaps you don't need to stand corrected. I am increasingly noticing that google searches don't turn up news that's has a conservative bent. I forgot which MERBite was standing by Google and their "benign" algorithms a few months back. Shame on them.

That could well be the case, but even if so, it (may or) may not be Google's fault. They don't really need to skew their search results: the media these days is so overwhelmingly left-wing, that Google may just be delivering whatever is out there.

This strikes me as just a quirk of the algorithm based on the specific words chosen.

The real worry is how much of what's going on with the stock market is just random panic and how much is future-facing? The job market remains steady from all reports, while economic growth is going to slow down off the mini-spike we had the last little while. So basically a return to the fairly stable norm we've had for a while. Was this current run of chaos just weird reactions to political unease and some general freaking out, or do people think the long term situation is more dire?

Bernie being a dick is not exactly shocking and no one really cares if he and Liz Cheney get into a twitter war.

I notice he carefully doesn't say what awful unfair things Schumer and Pelosi said (because people might check, I guess).

And how are saying "motherfucker" and talking about a 70% marginal tax rate "rookie mistakes". One was at a bar, and she followed up with an entire op ed of serious reasons why impeachment should go forward (let alone watching the GOP pearl-clutch at "incivility" is always laughable), and the other is a policy position you either agree or disagree with but can argue on the merits.

I see that Trump's Hotel (one-stop bribe shop) has come into the news again since the process to approve him keeping it was incorrectly done and the whole thing might be unconstitutional:

So it seems that Cohen has become toxic as much for Mueller as he is for Trump. He was Trump's yes man rat for Trump. He now finds out you cannot do the same with the justice. What a complete jerk.

I'm not sure what to make of the Buzzfeed story and Mueller's carefully-worded pushback. This doesn't seem like a Cohen thing, though. It seems like there are officers who talked to Buzzfeed, not Cohen.

My first thought was that the leaks came from SDNY, and Mueller is pushing back to point out that his office doesn't leak. It also could be that the SDNY people overstated their case, and Buzzfeed has admitted they didn't actually see this other evidence. So it could well be the evidence isn't as characterized by SDNY, and Mueller wanted to nip it in the bud.

But it is hard not to think this will now be repeated endlessly as "proof the MSM lies". For all we know, it may well be a sting a-la the old Bush AWOL story with the kerning.

Not exactly correct my friend.
As Valcazar wrote, Mueller`s office was upset with the BuzzFeed report, and not with Cohen.


As far as toxic goes, if Cohen`s version of events as told to Mueller, are backed up by witnesses , emails and/ or tapes.....then there will be a valid reason to start impeachment proceedings.
