Having your genitals touched by a professional escort feels different with a professional nurse.
Imagine Squid Game for zoomers and survival hinges on dialing a rotary phone.I was just thinking about expressions like "dialing the phone" and "hanging up" and dealizing these are linguistic anachronisms that repsent actions that no longer take place in the and that younger people may hae without even understanding what they actually mean, except in a cultural context sort of way. Trying to think of other ones that may apply to me..
Also reminded me of those youtube videos where they out a rotary phone in front of young people and ask them to make a call, for which they will receive a reward once accomplished but they can't figure out how to do it. lol
They couldn't do that on Squid game. Half the people are supposed to survive each of the squid games! lolImagine Squid Game for zoomers and survival hinges on dialing a rotary phone.

I have been thinking about this story all week because it's beautiful and lowkey I totally believe in doing unhinged shit and then just grinningI was in a high rise today and in the elevator with a 40'ish woman (we were the only two people in it) and she ripped a fart. The she just looked over at me and grinned. Didn't look embarrassed and looked like she had absolutely zero fucks to give. I laughed with her and I think I may just have fallen in love with her a little bit. i just loved her attitude. I might have loved her even more if she had been better looking, but still, I might have been able to overlook that just because I know how much fun someone like that would be. I bet she's awesome in bed. sigh.
Progresso…..Campbell's soups have been disappointing me lately. They're really going Scotch on how much meat they add to their Chunky line. I'll refrain from buying, their star no longer shines brightly like it once did. Might get some Chef Boyardee if I insist on a cheap, no-effort meal.
You're never too old to learn something new. Thank you @LeDodo and @Cap’tain Fantastic for contributing to that.C'est le pic de l'été quand Le sol est constamment chaud.
Y'a des gens qui disent que l'automne est dans environ 6 semaines à partir de là
We're more alike than you believeso I heard a joke, and it's probably an old joke, and It goes: A Roman centurion walks into a bar, holds up two fingers and says "I'll have 5 beers please".
Ok, that was worth a small chuckle from me, but as my brain processed the joke then I started to wonder "How did the Romans do multiplication and division using Roman numerals?". The question continued to bug me until finally I had to go look it up. All I can say is: fuck Roman numerals. (well, Etruscan numerals)
Now you have something to lay awake and think about at night when you can't sleep. lol

Yes I know. It still a good one ha!Ha!That’s an old one.
I agree. The Google maps reviews of restaurant is a good example to illustrate the value of reviews in general.I want to share an anecdote because I think comparing this to booking a SP is interesting. Since both experiences are, in my opinion, luxuries and not necessities.
Yesterday, before I took the bus on my way home to Montreal, I wanted to have a nice lunch in a fancy restaurant in Ottawa. The restaurant had good reviews, but it was pricey. If I didn't have enough disposable income at that time, I would not have chosen to have this experience. I would just have grabbed a sandwich somewhere and that's all. The food was not good, in my opinion. I was disappointed and couldn't finish it. Did I bitch about it online and leave a bad review? No. There are probably people who think this restaurant is really good, but it was just not to my taste. At the end of the day I just left with less money, but I didn't let it ruin my day, because I made a choice depending on how much money I had at the time.
There was a moment in my life when I couldn't even afford a metro pass, and having to pay for that meal would have robbed me of the possibility of having food for the next 2 weeks. I would never have eaten at that restaurant. During other moments of my life, I went several days and sometimes weeks without eating a real meal.
In the last 2 years I have occasionally spent even larger amounts of money at other restaurants for friends birthdays, and the food and experience were admittedly amazing, but it was absolutely not necessary to spend that much. I just chose to splurge. I could have been a Karen about it and complained about how loud some places were and how long it took to get the food, just to find something to be upset about.. but no, I just have a good memory of this place, with a slight tinge of guilt for having spent that much money over a meal. We only live once. If I choose to have pay for a luxury, it's on me.
Another example : somebody makes the conscious choice to go to a highly rated but expensive Italian resto. The service is slow and the layout of the restaurant is uncomfortable but the food is genuinely good. Memories of great food in Italy and in a restaurant he was really fond of that doesn't exist anymore taint his enjoyment of the food. He is rude to the waiters and things get awkward.I agree. The Google maps reviews of restaurant is a good example to illustrate the value of reviews in general.
To start with, generally speaking it's a good indicator of the experience and the trustworthiness of the business.
However both extremely good reviews and bad reviews must be taken with care.
You need to read beyond the score.
But usually the bad reviews are the one that are the most interesting. Why? Because sometimes the experience is ruined because the service was slow. And you know, when you are impatient any minute feels like an eternity. But then it might make you feel like it's not worth more than 1 star. Was the food bad? Was the place neatly maintained? Was the waiter polite? We might never know as the focus as only be on one thing.
The interesting part usually comes the feedback from the restaurant. Because the review is one sided and it's not the full story, so when they begin to share more of the story you quickly realize how blindsided the bad review was.
Having said that, there are good bad reviews to avoid bad places obviously.
