I was just thinking about expressions like "dialing the phone" and "hanging up" and dealizing these are linguistic anachronisms that repsent actions that no longer take place in the and that younger people may hae without even understanding what they actually mean, except in a cultural context sort of way. Trying to think of other ones that may apply to me..

Also reminded me of those youtube videos where they out a rotary phone in front of young people and ask them to make a call, for which they will receive a reward once accomplished but they can't figure out how to do it. lol
Imagine Squid Game for zoomers and survival hinges on dialing a rotary phone.

I was in a high rise today and in the elevator with a 40'ish woman (we were the only two people in it) and she ripped a fart. The she just looked over at me and grinned. Didn't look embarrassed and looked like she had absolutely zero fucks to give. I laughed with her and I think I may just have fallen in love with her a little bit. i just loved her attitude. I might have loved her even more if she had been better looking, but still, I might have been able to overlook that just because I know how much fun someone like that would be. I bet she's awesome in bed. sigh.
I have been thinking about this story all week because it's beautiful and lowkey I totally believe in doing unhinged shit and then just grinning

so I heard a joke, and it's probably an old joke, and It goes: A Roman centurion walks into a bar, holds up two fingers and says "I'll have 5 beers please".

Ok, that was worth a small chuckle from me, but as my brain processed the joke then I started to wonder "How did the Romans do multiplication and division using Roman numerals?". The question continued to bug me until finally I had to go look it up. All I can say is: fuck Roman numerals. (well, Etruscan numerals) :)

Now you have something to lay awake and think about at night when you can't sleep. lol
