My favorite: Mighty Aphrodite by Woody Allen which is very funny. The guy searched for the natural mom of his brilliant adopted son and discoved that she is an escort with a sub-zero IQ. A wonderful performance by Mira Sorvino; you have to be very good to play somebody sooo stupid.

"Combien tu m'aimes" with Monica Bellucci where she is of course very hot. The film is both funny and surreal at times. Some Shmuck pretends he won the lottery and asks this prostitute to go live with him, with of course dramatic consequences

But on a more serious note, Geisha should be a classic when talking about japanese escorts/courtisanes.

I remember someone talking about the movie Solaris with Georges Clooney, which I have seen not long after reading his post. I have to admit that this movie is all about the fantasy building up during an encounter.

One of the early Kathleen Turner movies when she was at her hottest. It starts off with fairly humorous role-play scene, if I remember correctly.

I am really surprised nobody has mentioned or seen "Client #9", starring Eliot Spitzer himself. This is the compelling true story of a legendary hobbyist who was also the Governor of the State of New York, forced to resign when his hobbying activities were exposed, although he only used his own personal funds to pay for the activities. Shockingly, Spitzer cooperated with the filmmakers and is interviewed at length in the film. An actress portrays Spitzer's favorite escort, a redhead whom he took on trips to Florida and the Caribbean.

It is a 100% true story, this documentary by an Academy Award winning filmmaker is certainly must see viewing for the HDH hobbyist and the wannabe HDH hobbyists, but is also a great story that serves as great entertainment as well.

Interestingly enough there is one called "The Babysitter" circa 2008 on Netflix. Stars John Leguizamo & Cynthia Nixon & Katherine Waterston. Most of Katherine Waterston's (Sam Waterston's kid, "Can you say TD Ameritrade?) movies are of little note (being nice here). For some reason she played this role extremely well.

I used to have Crimes of Passion on VHS. That was a strange movie, typical Ken Russell '80s movie. "Whore" that Ricky Bonds mentiones is another Ken Russell movie and stars Theresa Russell a real babe in her day. It really wasn't a fun movie to watch. Klute, one of Jane fonda's best performances, and Belle de Jour are fantastic movies and really worth seeing.

One movie that isn't about prostitution as a main subject, while it does figure in the story, is Dancing at the Blue Iguana. It's a strip club movie and a pretty realistic one at that. The film was mostly improvised by the actors in the film, a surprising cast for this type of film that includes Sandra Oh who went on to Grey's Anatomy, Darryl Hannah, Sheila Kelley, Jennifer Tilley and Kristin Bauer who is now one of the stars of True Blood on HBO. It's pretty hard to find but worth seeking out if for nothing else than the documentary of the making of the film on the second DVD which may be better than the movie itself. Another TV series about prostitution is Satisfaction, an Australian show about the women who work in an upscale brothel. Well filmed, beautiful women with typical storylines for that style of show I'd guess. Worth watching.
