The Canadian law requires only that you "communicated for the purpose" of paying for sex. You don't actually need to do it.

It's a question of evidentiary value and not discoverability. As I said the records may have no evidentiary utility. It's not a discoverability question, it's an evidentiary value question. The Courts do not block discovery requests like this. However if the discovery has no evidentiary value, there is no point in doing the discovery in the first place. The prosecutors all know this and that's why it's a big waste of time and money.

I was aware about the Power/control need; and didn't reflect on it while making my point.
It is not your responsibilities to keep violent or abusive behaviour in check.
I though it did help indirectly.

The IMEI associated with your device is registered with the cell towers along with the phone number you used. So basically no, you weren't fully anonymous.
If you are using a device in this day and age, you are always trackable if authorities needed it to be.

Having said that, they are not going to pull up cell tower records unless there is further evidence against you, because the cell tower records only tell that you were in a certain area and does not pin point your exact location. So at maximum it is a supporting evidence

What I mean is, even as we say 10 % cause 90% of the problems, but if we were to factor in the number of people who contact us and either don't get a response back because all they wrote was Hi. Or who threw the process of comunication, or lack there of, and appointment isn't created in the end.
If we count the "no way this is happening", contacts, before even including what might get in the door, that percentage of problematic clients goes up.
Just in the first 5 messages I see so much disrespect by most to the process of this is intimate relations these people are asking for. 75% of messages alone often start with
-Hi
-I wanna f*ck.
Or some deviation of this. Often with a tone of urgency, and the impression that we aren't anything but something to stick their hard on in. It is higher than 10%.
