Yea Gentle, be careful or you will be added to the dreaded list  Actually, i find it an honor.

I've noticed a number of the same type who complain about the length of my posts. Are you really eager to be put in that category?

Yesterday was a terrible night to be honest... and it seems we are now down to the last line of defense of seeing the stanley cup be desacrated once again by the filthy Capitaine Charogne. Just thinking about it really make me wanna puke.... I don't know if LA could come back and beat the Hawks, i doubt it, so i will say Chicago is the last hope for us against the evil empire and the dark side of Boston... :help:

I like the Hawks, and i like the Kings too... no matter wich team is all fine for me, but one thing sure, they BETTER BEAT THAT HORRIBLE TEAM cause then i would not like them anymore. Better not choke like the Lightning and the Canucks 2 years ago...

Cmon Mike, Chara is a great player and a future hall of famer and plays hard every second he is on the ice. He never takes a shift off like some of those guys in the motor city.

maybe Doc consistently posts long articles but myself, rarely, and grammar and typos just shows how bad i get under the Cowboy's skin ;)

That's why I said Doc = long post
Iggy = typos and grammar

Merlot is starting to take both of your habits into one character. :)
But then again... if it pleases him.

In the end...his only mistake was to think I was talking about game 2 so it's ok with me.
It's juicing this thread a bit more.

Better not choke like the Lightning and the Canucks 2 years ago...

The real ones to blame this year though is Toronto.
They were gonna steal this one until deflation.

Then again a sweep in 4 games for Boston would give us a chance to see some sort of Riot somewhere no ?
Imagine how Boston fans would go gaga for their 7th cup in 85 years.

BTW my friends in Wellesley just told me to f*ck off since I made them notice one thing...

Have you ever looked at when Boston won their cups ?

Check this out : 1929, 1939, 1941, 1970, 1972, 2011..
In 1929 only 2 games were needed to win the cup.
But ever since the format changed to a 4 games format, Boston has been winning their cup in a 2 year interval...then only 30-40 years after.
1939-41, 1970-72, 2011-...2013 ?

So there's a good chance if they win in 2013 that you won't hear about them until shall we say 50 years from now ?

Chara is a great player and a future hall of famer and plays hard every second he is on the ice.

He's certainly a lot better than that pylon on the leafs - you know, the one consistently voted the most overrated player in the NHL ...by his fellow players! Of course I'm talking about "captain" dion, one of the many leafs HUMILIATED in game 7.

Hey, you don't "achieve" (ha ha) 46 YEARS of complete and total failure by having GOOD players!

He never takes a shift off like some of those guys in the motor city.

I didn't know the leafs were now playing in Detroit.

You know, the same leafs who "took off" EVERY SHIFT after the 49 minute mark in game 7...to stage the most embarrassing and cowardly collapse in the history of the NHL?

You know, the same leafs who have "taken off" the last 46 YEARS?

You know, the same leafs who "take off" to the golf course every year BEFORE all the good teams?

Forget about Eddie Murphy, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno, etc, etc. If you're looking for REAL LAUGHS just go to a leafs game.

Unless you're one of those poor misguided leaf fans however: for them, it's TRAGEDY, not comedy - 46 YEARS of tragedy! Poor, pathetic losers!

Here's some therapy for you ig: Repeat your personal mantra over and over and you might obtain the strength and inner peace to leave your fantasy world behind and FINALLY enter reality. Here it is, the recipe for turning your life around:

1967 (the last time the leafs had ANYTHING to cheer about)

So ? Leafs get 2 more games than Habs in playoffs but managed to create the EPIC collapse of the NHL history of playoffs and...
Habs get the Norris !

OUch ! after everything they said against Subban... this one must hurt deeply !
Specially that no Leafs ever won this one !

And you can hear these bandwagon fans all year long about how Habs doesn't have good enough players !

Here's a sample of how many times the best teams got the Norris !
Bruins : 14
Habs : 12
Wings : 9

Even Hawks got it 6 times.

I'm telling you, Leafs should move to Quebec city.
They could keep the white and blue color and they would start winning something at least.

Well it's true they won the Hart twice.

Habs won this one only 16 times.
Boston : 13
Wings : 8

But we have to be fair to the Leafs fans about the Vezina which TO won : 6 times.

While Boston got it only 3 times more : 9 which is a good score.
Same as Buffalo ?
Wings got this one 4 times.

Then again Hawks got it : 10 times.
While Habs only have : 28 of them.

Someone should talk to TO's managing team next year to get a player that can get the Art Ross for once.
Pens : 13 times.
Habs : 9
Hawks : 8
Wings, Boston and Oilers : 7

And the list goes on and on....

If you added only the ones above...
Habs won 65 of them.
Boston : 43
Wings : 28
Hawks : 24
Leafs : 8

Ok then lets give TO a chance and put their 13 Stanley on top of those :
Habs got 89
Boston : 49 or 50 maybe ?
Wings : 39
Hawks : 28 or 29 maybe ?

Leafs : 21

GAWD DAMN !

Gentle, any way you slice it the leafs come out as LOSERS...

Yeah I know, you're right.

And I didn't even count the amount of playoffs games or the All-Stars team players...

For if you take the five most selected players by position only Busher Jackson in no. 5 spot played for TO as a left winger and got selected 4 times.
The guy played from 1929-1944.

While Habs, Wings, Hawks, Bruins, and even Rangers had more than 1 player in the top 5 of all time.

Habs for exemple got Maurice Richard, Jean Beliveau, Doug Harvey, Guy Lafleur, Ken Dryden and Patrick Roy who played for Mtrl.

So it's like you said.

I know, as a player I would really think of my chances to win anything by playing for the Leafs in TO.

2-1 for Boston going in 3rd and I can't wait to see the outcome.

Well it was a great game.

Bergeron got 1 in.
The a$$hole of Ference was a nuisance to his own team.
Bruins should get rid of this POS.

Yet both teams and goalies played a superb game.

One had to win this one yet both team aren't losers like the all star loser team in TO for which a trophy should be made.

welcome to the East, Dead Things.

The true "Dead Things' are the hopeless and pathetic leafs, who have now been riding a train of complete failure for 46 YEARS. Canada's National Embarrassment is such a complete laughingstock that its hockey-challenged fans have been reduced to getting their thrills once a decade when their sad sacks accidentally stumble into the playoffs for a few games, before pulling the inevitable first round collapse and heading out to the golf course. Even by the miserable standards of the leafs, however, this year's collapse was a TRULY cowardly and humiliating one.

The leafs are not just "dead things" - they are dead, buried, and ROTTING in their graves with the stench of 46 YEARS of decay surrounding the entire corpse of this woebegotten franchise, this giant PIMPLE on the face of the otherwise great nation of Canada.

Meanwhile Zetterberg won the foundation award.
Good stuff !

Indeed it is - congrats to former Conn Smythe winner and Wayne Gretzky's favorite hockey player of the past decade, Henrik Zetterberg! And congrats also to Jonathan Toews of the Black Hawks for winning the Selke, beating out two other terrific players: last year's winner Patrice Bergeron, and the great Pavel Datsyuk (the most skilled hockey player on the planet) a 3 time winner and 6 time finalist for the Selke (not to mention his FOUR Lady Byngs and TWO Stanley Cups!

Congrats also to all the leaf nominees and winners this year. What's that you say? The leafs had NO nominees or winners this year? Oh sorry.

Well, then congrats to all the leaf winners LAST year. What's that you say? The leafs had no winners LAST year either? Oh sorry again.

Come to think of it, since 1967 (46 YEARS ago!) the ONLY significant individual win by the leafs was Little Dougie Gilmour's Selke trophy in 1993. Well, one trophy in 46 YEARS isn't a hell of a lot to congratulate anyone for...especially when that one lonely award is already TWO DECADES in the past! Let's all extend our SYMPATHIES to the leafs: it must be tough being the absolute worst franchise in all of professional sports!
