...all of the "entitled" habs fans (spot on SK, 100%) would love the guy, mainly because the addition of a Chara to your soft team makes you much better.

Seriously Iggy, I'm beginning to think that all Leafs fans are addicted to crack.

No real Habs fan would like to have 'Charogne' in Mtrl.

I can appreciate Bruins as a hockey team and Boston as a town for sports but as a real Habs fan I despise this MF just like I could despise the late a$$hole of Gauthier who let go Halak then turn around and get Gomez and sabotage last year's season for Habs.

For a real Habs fan Charogne is in the same category as El Douche (real Mussolini's look alike) who babble like a baby between periods on hockey night Canada looking slightly better than Ronald McDonald.

Please TRY AGAIN !

I saw that good goalie and good guy, Jimmy Howard, was consoling Nicky Kronwall after the game, but why should Nicky be sad, did he not get an assist on the OT Winner :noidea:

Hey congratulations ig: I see you finally figured out how to place your crap in the proper thread. Good work!

And of course the "dead things" did far better in the playoffs - as usual - than your pathetic "live" (HA HA HA) leafs. If the stinkin' leafs and their 46 YEARS of complete and utter failure (not to mention their COWARDLY AND HISTORY-MAKING COLLAPSE in game 7 of round ONE) are your idea of a "live" (HA HA HA) team, then by all means give me a "dead" one any day of the week.

I guess if you haven't even made the playoffs in a decade and if you have 46 YEARS of failure to look back on (as well as NO FUTURE to look forward to), you have to find some comfort in the fact that your sad sack losers (led by the most overrated player in the entire NHL, managed by a Vancouver castoff who only got the job because his boss was dumped on his ass after 4 years of increasingly epic failure, and coached by an Anaheim castoff who only got the job because HIS predecessor was tossed on the scrap heap) fluked their way into the playoffs ONLY because they were lucky enough to have a 48 game season that ended before the cowardly COLLAPSE they have EVERY year.

I understand all that and you TRULY have my pity. What you cannot understand however (in addition to spelling, grammar, and anything concerning hockey) is that by belittling a team INFINITELY superior to the leafs you are REALLY pointing out just how woefully horrendous the stinkin' leafs really are. You poor, poor soul.

Well, 24 hrs have now passed since the Dead Things were put out of their misery by the Hawks and one has to wonder, did Nikki kRonwall get his assist in the record books yet? :noidea:

I'd say that the Hockey Gods stepped in after that disallowed goal by Chicago that should have counted. The Dead Things had two cracks at it and still couldn't come up with a win. Kudos to Jimmy Howard who played brilliantly. By the way, has anyone ever seen Mike Babcock smile?

Question: Has anyone ever seen Mike Babcock smile? Answer: Yes, on many occasions - including various Red Wing Cups.

Question: Has anyone ever seen the stinkin' toronto maple leafs win a Cup? Answer: Yes, a small number of people who are all over FIFTY YEARS OLD. (Yes, I realize that some people who are "only" 46 YEARS old also might have seen it - from the CRIB!)

I get a real laugh from you two hockey-challenged leaflovers making fun of the great Detroit Red Wings. Comparing your hopeless losers to the Wings is like comparing dogshit to diamonds.

Try achieving something...just ONCE...before making such boneheaded statements. Your crapola squad has made the playoffs once in a decade and got bounced in round one after folding like a collapsible lawn chair in one of the biggest displays of downright cowardice ever seen. (Hi Dion, please meet Zdeno and Milan. Your "captain" showed as much courage - ha ha - as Komi always did when he saw Lucic. )

And while Canada's National Embarrassment added to its legendary list of failures, the Wings sailed into round two and finished just short of pulling off an amazing upset. That's because they are WINNERS as opposed to the laughingstocks from Hogtown.

Go win 4 Cups in the next 15 years and maybe you can START to come CLOSE to the Wings. As it is, your team is a pathetic bunch of losers pissing into the wind every single year while a whole CONTINENT rolls on the floor laughing at their continual display of gutless ineptitude.

Just four short years, boys, and then you'll have reached the magic HALF CENTURY of total failure.

In my book, Leafs are done.
They're history and something from the past.

Same as Jacques Villeneuve in racing who was good in the beginning then crumbling from the weight of his arrogance in losing ever since in everything to become totally irrelevant to his sport.

In my opinion, they don't even need this last 4 years.
They were able to pull this feat of EPIC losing in playoffs a 4-1 lead in less than 10 minutes.

They are now only part of history... something of the past.

From the original 6 NHL teams, they are the only one to never ever win a cup or make it to the finals since the 1st expansion.

So now you know why the Hockey Hall Of Fame is in Toronto !
For it's the only way Leafs fans can get to see the Stanley Cup !

And for our dear Laurel and Hardy (specially Hardy) who's a big fan of long article to quote here is one to nail it down.
And this is from another Maple Leafs Fan !

http://50missioncap.wordpress.com/2013/05/16/a-leaf-fan-and-game-7-the-true-meaning-of-sudden-death/

A Leaf Fan and Game 7: The True Meaning of ‘Sudden Death’

I needed a few days to write this down, but it is important. When somebody goes through a bad breakup, they initially feel dead inside. They need time to wallow in sadness, eat a pint of ice cream, get drunk, or do whatever it is broken up people do. But, talking about it is the only way that they can truly heal and move forward; everyone needs to talk. Your sports team losing should not feel like a breakup, especially when it’s an outcome you’re accustomed to; but losing in this manner does. You go through all the stages of grief that you would in a breakup. And so, I take it upon myself to provide my own thoughts and reflections so that the healing process can begin for all of us Leaf fans. As such, I’ll start by saying this:

I still can barely look.

In my braver, more ‘train wreck’ moments yesterday, I attempted to watch the tying and winning goals by Patrice Bergeron. I shouldn’t have. To do so still provides me with actual pain. Listening to Bruins announcer (and noted homer) Jack Edwards’ call of the OT winner was an even dumber idea. I’m a sucker for punishment, apparently; I forget what exactly Edwards call was, but there was something about a dagger, and he may as well have stuck it in my back.

It goes on and on...

I screamed angrily when the Lucic goal occurred, then letting out loud successions of ‘FUCK’ repeatedly. I estimate I said that one word about thirty times over the next minute. It pretty much was the only word I was capable of saying at that point; twenty-six years of speaking the English language, and my vocabulary had been reduced to this.

.....

Lets face it guys... it's really time to move on !
Just like poor Newtown boy, it's time to either get psychological help in coping with this 'need' to destroy yourself or just move on to something else.

Cheers :eyebrows:

Great posts, Gentle!

Notice that iggy has ZERO comebacks for either of us. All he can do, like a little baby sucking on his thumb, is dumbly repeat over and over in a whining, nasal voice:"dead things, dead things..."

True, the poor soul isn't very big on logic and knows very little about hockey, but he's also firing blanks because there are ZERO arguments in favor of the sad sack bunch of chumps he roots for. The numbers say it all: TWENTY-TWO consecutive playoff appearances for the Wings (while the hapless leaflovers are having multiple orgasms because their gang managed to ALMOST last for ONE laughable round in the last freakin' DECADE!) and FORTY-SIX years of hopelessness, frustration, disappointment, SCANDAL, and failure for the woeful leafs.

Oh, and who can forget this final set of numbers: a 4-1 lead MAGICALLY turning into a 5-4 LOSS in the dying minutes of the 7th game - something that made history as the biggest and most cowardly collapse ever - something that today's CHILDREN will laugh about with their GRANDCHILDREN half a century from now (by which time it will be a FULL CENTURY without a Cup for the worst franchise in all of professional sports.)

I'm 6'1', 215 pounds and have a shaved head and goatee. If that's your idea of a "mrs", it tells us a lot about what turns you on. Then again, you ARE a leafs fan so I guess that explains your very skewed view of the world.

You're the one who seems to have difficulty distinguishing men from women - to me, that reeks of sexual confusion. But hey no disrespect intended to your chosen lifestyle. Just try to leave me out of your fantasies please. And that includes discussing me with your "friend". I'm sure you and your "friend" can find other people to dream about when you're together. Best wishes to both of you for a happy life.
