Now how about a lil hockey? You guys do remember what that is correct? The Leafs have hit a dry patch just like all teams do within the course of a long season. They will be fine but i do see a trade or 2 coming to shake up the D somewhat. Our goalies are a great 1-2 punch and have let in very very few softies this season, certainly many less than some teams goalies.

Hey if deadtroit can lose 6 or 7 in a row and come out of it then any team can, even Calgary, Edmonton and Buffalo.... long season folks and it is just getting started. GLG!

The panic in hogtown continued as they flipflopped their goalies again, with Reimer getting the loss this time.

The leaf goalies, due to their good play earlier in the season, still have overall decent save percentages, with Reimer at .931 and "Tie Game" Bernier at .929....BUT...take a look at the percentages of some EX-leaf goalies:
Giguere has .949, Scrivens .943, Rask .935, and the Monster .929!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Monster is ironically tied with "Tie Game" , while the other 3 EX-leaf goalies mentioned are ALL doing better than both Reimer and Bernier! Love it!!!

The leafs, as usual, were outplayed and outshot. They have now been outshot in 24 of their 28 games, which means that they are outshot an absolutely incredible 85.7% of the time!!!!! And they're usually not outshot by 1 or 2, it's usually a huge number like tonight (40-30). Why is a team THIS bad still in the NHL? Please, Mr. Bettman, get rid of these losers!

Colton Orr continued his fabulous streak and has now played 26 games this season without scoring even a single point. Congratulations also to Frazer McLaren for extending HIS streak - he's now pointless in 13 games this season. Coach Carlyle felt it was necessary to have both these talentless ZEROES in the lineup tonight, which is just one of many reasons why countless TORONTO fans are clamoring for the coach to be fired. It's just like the good old days when the same fans were hollering for the scalp of the despised Ron Wilson.

I take it back, Mr. Bettman: Please let the leafs STAY in the NHL. True, they don't deserve to be in the league, but the COMEDY they provide is priceless. What a laughingstock...and to give them the credit they fully deserve, they have been providing North America's hockey fans with nonstop laughter for 46 YEARS !!!!!!!

First preseason games tonight and we should all get used to the results for the coming season, Leafs win and habs lose.... seems like good protocol to me!

What do you expect from a witless video made by the freakin' leafs - the same bozos who have "led" (ha ha) their inept team to 46 YEARS of complete and utter failure, including a current streak of 5 STRAIGHT LOSSES and including a current year in which they have been BADLY outplayed and outshot in 24 of 28 games?

No ig, here are the REAL differences between Red Wing and maple loser fans:

1. Wings are used to winning, leafs know NOTHING but losing...for 46 YEARS .
2. Wings: Long-established owner, GM, management team, coach and coaching staff, scouts - ALL considered either the BEST or ALMOST the best in the game. Leafs: Harold Ballard, Ontario Teachers, John Ferguson Jr., the fired Brian Burke who NEVER ONCE made the playoffs, Ron Wilson, Randy "Panic Mode" Carlyle (with leaf fans already BEGGING for him to be fired, Dave "Burkie Jr." Nonis and his silly multi-year, multimillion dollar signings of Kessel and "2 Goal" Clarkson - ALL considered either the WORST or ALMOST worst in the game.
3. Wings: Yzerman, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg. leafs: Orr, McLaren, Clarkson.
4. Wings: No excuses ever. leafs: "We were unlucky," "the refs were unfair," "we should have won," "we have injuries," "yeah but we didn't lose AT HOME bwahaha - oops, yes we did!", "please look the other way while we cry like little girls".
5. Wings : Intelligent fans who can read, write, act maturely, and talk HOCKEY in HOCKEY threads. leafs: Fans who can't properly read or write; who love to use unoriginal, unfunny, childish, old, boring insults; whose favorite "intelligent" comment is "bwahaha"; who TOTALLY ignore the FACTS and who know SQUAT about hockey...which is why they almost never talk about HOCKEY in a HOCKEY thread.
6. Wings: Normal drinks. leafs: Nothing but lots...and LOTS...and LOTS of Koolaid.

You might want to look into some help for that (not that I'm judging you for your personal "preferences" - just making the point that you should KEEP them personal) since the rest of the people in this thread are not at all interested in what turns you on.

There are HUNDREDS of HOCKEY posts you could respond to if only you could stop fantasizing about all the cowboys at the OK corral.

PS: I see the panic continued in Toronto as the goalies were flipflopped again. I guess Carlyle figures that's what "coaching" is all about. Maybe he should attend a coaching clinic as soon as the leafs get eliminated - or maybe he should wait a little longer, save up a LOT of money, and BEG Mike Babcock to give him some lessons.

The leafs and their fans are undoubtedly having orgasms right now, because after LOSING "ONLY" FIVE IN A ROW, the leafs managed to FINALLY win a game and are now on a ONE GAME WINNING STREAK. Admittedly, for a team as bad as the leafs even a one game winning streak is fantastic.

HOW did they win against Dallas? Well, they had a lead and blew it, then they had another lead and blew it late in the game, and then they scored in OT to win.

So I guess - except for being unable to hold a lead - the leafs dominated, right? Well, yeah, they did - IF by "dominating" you mean being OUTPLAYED AND OUTSHOT 50 TO 24!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Full marks to "Tie Game" Bernier for saving his sad-ass team, as he and Reimer did on many occasions before reality set in six games ago. Bernier played another game tonight WAY above his limited skill level...and that's the ONLY way this pathetic team can win. They have now been outplayed and BADLY OUTSHOT in 25 of their 29 games.

By the way, Dallas had a goal called back.

This undeserved win VAULTED the leafs up in the standings. Now they are "only" 2 points BEHIND the Wings and 4 points BEHIND Montreal.
