Actually, he's already missed one start, having been pushed back from last Monday. The last time Pettitte did not spend significant time on the DL was 2009. He's now 40. I can add 2+2, can you?.

He has a 3-0 record and the Yankees have played 15 games so far. His record accounts for 1/3 of the Yankees wins. Why don't you let the season happen, rumps? You have anointed the Red Sox pitchers to co-Cy Young winners, and denigrated every Yankees player.

And my Aunt Margaret could have hit 40 if... Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda...the oldest fraternity in the world..

Red Sox should sign your Aunt Marge. It could give them better run production.

Ah, the power of selective evidence. Edwin Encarnacion hit almost twice as many HRs last years as the corpse of Teixeira and earned 1/6 of what Teixeira got. Josh Willingham hit 50% more HRs and was paid 1/3.

Selective evidence???? You're the king of selective evidence, rumps. FYI Edwin Encarnacion's best season for hitting HR's was last year. Before his 42 HR's last year, Edwin highest HR production was 26 in 2008 and 21 in 2010. Josh Willilngham has been the same story as Encarnacion. Willingham hit 35 HR's in 2012 and before that he never had a 30 HR season in his 9 year career.

Teixeira has been consistent. In Teixeira's 10 year career, he has 8 seasons with 30 or more HR's.

Just hope he doesn't account for 1/3 of their wins in October.

Sigh. You really don't understand the Joe.T effect? It's really too bad that you can't purchase a sense of humour.

He certainly has been consistent. It's been a steady ride downhill for five years. .765 anyone?

Big Papi, in front of 37,000 fans, the mayor of Boston, the governor of Massachusetts, and a zillion people watching on television, "This is our fucking city. Stay strong, Boston." You got that right, Papi.

What goes around, comes around. Cano nailed.

Sonia Cruz part of clinic's client list
By T.J. Quinn and Mike Fish | ESPN.com

The spokeswoman for Robinson Cano's foundation is listed as having been a client of the Biogenesis clinic last summer, although she denies having received anything from the clinic and says Cano "definitely never did."

Major League Baseball, however, has possession of a Biogenesis client roster that lists the spokeswoman, Sonia Cruz, and is investigating whether Cano had any relationship to the clinic, sources familiar with MLB's investigation told "Outside the Lines".

Cano has denied knowing clinic founder Tony Bosch or having ever used performance-enhancing drugs. But as his best friend, Melky Cabrera, his mentor, Alex Rodriguez, and now his spokeswoman have all been connected to clinic documents, MLB wants to know whether any relationship between Cano and the clinic exists.

So we're supposed to believe that Melky Cabrera's best buddy and a guy who looks up to Alex Rodriguez is clean? If you believe him, come see me. I've got a bridge you might be interested in. This guy hits 14, 15, 19, and 14 HR his first four years and then, like magic in a bottle (or syringe) hits 25, 29, 28,33 his next four. The guy who in 5 minor league seasons, hit more than 10 twice and never more that 15.

I've got five words for Robinson Juiceguy Cano. Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty.

Geeez,

Now Cano huh. No wonder Joe.t said he no longer cares about roids. So many key Yankees have been linked to this crap or caught using it they wouldn't have a team if they were all banned.

It's sad really. I had a lot of respect for Cano like a lot of opposition fans. Linkage isn't proof, but it sure isn't pretty to see the link to a guy who was becoming a league icon. It's not just the Yankees this hurts, it's baseball.

And you forgot to mention his other best friend, dave ortiz.... yup guilty for sure

Yup, running for cover with an irrelevant diversion. An absolute guarantee a fan is hurting badly. Sorry to see your disappointment and pain.

I'll tell you, that Brian Cashman is a fucking genius. His signing of Daniel Nava for $1 out of the independent leagues was pure brilliance. What? What's that you say? Oh, it wasn't Cashman. It was Theo? Oh.

You're quoting some British guy bicyclist who named Mike Napoli and Andrew Bailey (who are they???) players of the week? British know only about soccer, rugby and cricket.
Ah, don't you just love it when I make a mistake and you have something to give your life meaning, if only for a few minutes?
