Sure the Cats seems to be the better team but it’s the playoffs, everything is possible. Hockey is a game of momentum and emotions.

Leafs had better offensive talent but the Bruins have probably the best pair of goalies in the league. If all Toronto players had played the series with the same energy level as Knies the issue would have been different.

I consider the effort level that one brings to be part of talent. Pete Rose is all the time hits leader in MLB because of the effort with which he played the game, every day. The Leafs are a team of pampered, entitled, overpaid prima donnas, and that is exactly how they played, and exactly why their playoff results are consistently terrible year after year. How many goals did they score in this series? Good offensive talent is not stopped cold by the first good goalie they play. I do not believe they are that good. I believe they are overrated.

In order to save his own job, Brendan Shanahan will need to shake things up. Sheldon Kennedy will have to be fired, and some players will need to be traded. I see Marner or Nylander being the top 2 trade candidates.

The first order of business for Toronto is to fire Sheldon Kennedy and hire Joel Quenneville as head coach. Quenneville is all about winning, so much so that he is willing to cover up a sexual assault of a player in order to win a Stanley Cup. At this point he probably deserves another shot. Kind of surprised nobody has tried to hire him so far.

Here is a 3:40 vent by a Leafs fan that summarizes many of the issues with the team:
Bottom line is what the guy said NOT GOOD ENOUGH

He has an expiring contract......no money to re-sign him, so you trade him before you lose him in free agency for nothing. It's pretty clear he has to go- NHL is a salary capped league. You simply can't pay everyone, so someone has to go, and he is the logical candidate.

They will make room for him, Matthews and Tavares out!

Seems like he was going for it but missed(almost fanned it), the puck went luckily back to Trochek who didn’t miss on his backhand.
