What about Dolphins WRs Hill and Waddle against the Buffalo Bills secondary? I think the Bills lost two extremely good players in their secondary. One was Micah Hyde the other Jordan Poyer. Was that talent effectively replaced? Are you guys thinking about these issues? You cannot single cover these 2 WRs, but you guys seem completely unconcerned, like the Dolphins are so much dog shit.
The worse part is that Jordan Poyer will play against the Bills tonight & if there’s one player who knows how to stop Allen it’s him. The Bills would have liked to keep at least one of the two veterans however they had cap issues & unfortunately couldn’t re-sign them. Stephan Diggs’ contract hurts the team & Josh Allen also got that big extension a couple of years ago. Next year it’ll be the Niners turn to figure out how to re-sign Brock Purdy who’s contract will be up after this season. He’s currently making under $1 million & will expect a huge raise.

One problem with both Poyer & Hyde is that they were often injured these past few years & missed a lot of time. Hyde suffered a very serious neck injury which required surgery & it still bothers him. And both players aren’t getting any younger. Tredavious White is another former all-pro who wasn’t re-signed by the Bills mostly because he suffered two devastating injuries over the past couple of seasons & never really regained his form last season. What i’m saying is that on paper the losses look worse than they really are since these three players missed quite a bit of games over the past couple of years & nome of them are the same player they once were.

Not many -1.5’s out there anymore.
But I’m with you, and I think Miami wins this by at least 3 points.
The line is now -2.5 for the Dolphins. Although my picks were made last Monday i’d still go with the Dolphins covering the spread although like i mentioned i’m a huge Bills fan & i’ll still be cheering for the Bills tonight. The worse-case scenario for me is if the Dolphins only win by 1.

By the way Josh Allen practiced with a glove on his left hand & he indicated it will be a game- time decision on whether he will keep it on or not.

By the way Micah Hyde still hasn’t signed with any team. I was told he’s still uncertain if he still wants to play or retire. People close to him have stated that if he’s not interested in playing any team other than the Bills. Who knows. Maybe if one of their current safeties ends up out for an extended period of time he may get a call. I doubt he would cost the Bills much knowing they’re the only team he’d be interested in playing for.

Yeah but he is not on the field tonight and they need good safeties out there tonight.

Are the Dolphins a fraud? Is Tua overrated? Is the Dolphin defence as bad as it seems? I’m starting to wonder. I had them picked to win the AFC East but now i’m having second thoughts. Plus that’s a team that can’t win in the cold & must win as many games as they can early in the season. And they were lucky to win last Sunday!

That second pick is on Tua. Unfortunately he’s likely to be criticized for the first as well, tho that one wasn’t his fault. Josh Allen makes it look ez. That might be your MVP.

Man, the Dolphins have just given up with most of the fourth quarter left to go! I’m speechless! And now with Tua likely to miss some time will they go shopping for a starting QB? This Skyler Thompson isn’t the answer. Ryan Tannehill should be staying close to his phone in the coming days!

Well the Bills totally dominated & destroyed the Dolphins! This totally caught me by surprise! That’ll teach me to bet against my favorite team & ignore past statistics. Josh Allen is 13-1 against Miami? Tua is 1-7? Why did i ignore this stuff? This is very tough on Miami especially if you consider they have a week-and-a- half until their next game & it’ll be on the road! And they’re lucky they’re not 0-2!

Go Bills!

Tua was concussed by Damar Hamlin who nailed him, which is his 3rd NFL Concussion. There's some talk he will consider retirement, but retirement due to a football injury doesn't guarantee his contract. That money is not guaranteed unless he comes back. So he has to decide whether his health is worth it. Question is what will he do to make money if he has no football? He could be a coach, or he could go back to Hawaii and open up a restaurant. But the restaurant business is hard. What will Tua do?

$167M was guaranteed. He’ll be ok.

Not true- not if he voluntarily retires even from a football injury.
He can't just walk away and say fuck it and take the $167 million, if he is cleared to play after IR. He would also forfeit his signing bonus. You think the attorneys for the Dolphins are fucking morons?????

If he can't play due to an injury that's another story. But voluntary walk away is not allowed. And many NFL players have retired after one too many concussions. So he has a decision to make.

Yep.....easy easy win/BILLS.....even playing with one hand JOSH----nothing spectacular---was in total control......and what about the defense....just wow.....yes COOK was on fire.
But TUA was the big story....a nightmare/evening......very bad one plus another concussion.....could well be the end for him.......and suddenly a very very long/struggling season for the DOLPHINS.....

Has to be very depressing for Dolphins fans all around. Their defense was shit (at home), their QB got hurt and may have to retire due to repeated concussions, and their big play WR tandem were held in check to a combined 65 yards while the Bills new secondary intercepted 3 passes. It's not what you want.

Pretty funny to read some of these posts after the fact... As a Miami resident who can't stand the Dolphins, these guys are endlessly fun to troll. Karma's a bitch. Any org that defends and encourages the actions of a shitbag like Tyreek Hill deserves everything coming its way.

Season's done for Miami with Tua's concussion. So SMH to hand out a giant extension to someone with a known injury history. Mr. Glass except for last year. 'Fins fans better pray there are a shitload of clauses in that contract that give them an out in case of injury, otherwise this org is hamstrung for years with a dead contract.

And before any white knights start crying for Tua - he'll be alright, hopefully and most likely. This is what insurance is for. Stupid decision on his part to even take that risk at the start of the regular season for a meaningless 1st down. Low intelligence play.

Wolfie,

I can't argue with anything you have said. I watched Tua all through his college career at Alabama. He was one of the most talented college QBs I have ever seen, specifically with his pinpoint accuracy throwing the ball. But his injury history even at Alabama was often discussed and concerns about his fragility were voiced during his draft process. You are right that none of this is new information. Unfortunately when you draft a guy like this, this is what you sign up for.

I heard a long discussion on WFAN by former NFL QB Norm "Boomer" Esiason this morning. Boomer said Tua will be under immense pressure to continue his career once he clears concussion protocol because "you can't leave that kind of money on the table." I think eventually a big contract like this is going to get a guy like Tua permanently damaged. Although talented, his body isn't built for NFL football. Not every body is. Many players have bodies that just cannot withstand the rigors and brutality of the sport. It's sad but it is what it is. I think he and the Dolphins are toast in week 2.
