Je suis le genre, par exemple, à utiliser une carte pré-payée pour payer des services ou achat sur internet, et ne jamais donner aucun numéro de carte de crédit personnel.....

I am maybe too much carefull, but we just don't know -exactly- who will have our private informations... I am one, by example, who are using a prepaid card instead of a credit card on internet for services or to buy things...
Since North American Law past in 1998, we are not responisible, for fraud caused on our credit cards.It’s true it does bring a lot of problems if your credit card # is stolen. Police report, replacing the card,...ect.
I personally hold 2 credit cards, the main card holds a high value(Amount), and the other Card has only $1,000 base on it. I use that one for my very limited Web Shopping.
But the idea of a pre-paid Card is a good one, never thought of that.
Question Marie, Is a Pre-Paid Credit Card just like cash? If you have let's say $1,000 dollars on it, and you lose it, do you lose the $1,000?
Another thing to be careful with, is if you ever shop on the Web, make sure you see HTTPS//www.
The S in the Http protocol is the most important, it lets you know that the website is encrypted sucure like some banks,.. better security.
