Agencies asking for your full name

A couple of agencies have been asking for your full name. They say that some of the hotels have been refusing enterance to women who look like escorts.And they want confirmation of who they are going to see. But how can they tell? I saw plenty of guests this past week at the hotel I stayed at who were young women who could have passed for SPs. I knew they were not SPs, because they were in the computer room and you need your key card there.

I did get stopped by a clerk because I was not sure where I wanted to go - to the hotel store or to my room. She did not ask me what room I was at.

There were only 3 agencies that did this - 2 of them are owned by the same owners.

They asked for your cell phone if you refused to give your full name.

In the 13 years of going to Montreal, this is a first.

Are they BSing or do some hotels ask girls who they suspect are escorts?

I doubt they will stop her because they think she's an SP, at least they won't tell her, unless she's known as such or is dressed in a whay that scream hooker.

They stop peoples for security reasons. The hotel I usually go got burned once when they loosened-up the security with some hobos using the pool, washrooms and free breakfast buffet. They don't want that or unauthorized visitors stealing stuff. You could call the front desk and tell them you're expecting a visitor, giving them her first name and it should do the trick. They won't ask why or what you'll do with her because it's none of their business and they know it.

So, when an agency ask for your real name, it's so the girl know what to respond when she walks in. If you're calling ahead, that will take care of that.

Also, some hotels won't transfer phone calls to a room when the caller only have the room number. Again, this is to ensure better security, confidentiality and quietness. That way, Mr. John who checked-in today won't get disturbed by calls for Mr. Smith who checked-out yesterday and Mr. John won't be able to say he's Mr. Smith either. When you provides a cell phone, they bypass the hassle of dealing with the hotel filtering.

I live in this god-awful city now, but when a tourist in the city, I have been asked for my surname when at my hotel (Queen E [Worst Fairmont Hotel in Canada]). Can't quite remember but think this has happened to me at a hotel in Toronto as well. When at a house or apartment, I've never been asked for my surname.

You know what? I'm certain there's plenty of red necks around Calgary that would be happy to have you as a neighbor and I'm certain you'd be much happier down there! Why torture yourself an live in Montréal when you'd be so happy elsewhere like Calgary? Even better! Texas! Only english-speaking peoples who just shoot those who are different or don't agree with them! That would be paradise for you!

You know what? I'm certain there's plenty of red necks around Calgary that would be happy to have you as a neighbor and I'm certain you'd be much happier down there! !

While I can understand you lashing out at someone who doesn't like Montreal, I can't help but feel that you think Calgary is just full of rednecks. It's actually a wonderful city - exceptionally clean, within an hour of some of the best sking in the world along with the amazing scenery of the Rockies. It's one of 4 places in Canada that I could live in, the others being Montreal Toronto and Vancouver.

TtP, Ococ have the right not to like Montréal, no problems there! But he have no right to say Montréal a "god-awful city". He doesn't like the place, fine! But that's his opinion and he is in minority.

Personally, I don't like Montréal either because I find it too big and impersonal but that's my opinion. I know peoples from my area who moved to Montréal and are now triving there. They just LOVE it! But since I have an open mind, I won't think I'm better than they are and I will never call Montreal a "god-awful city" because it's not true! It's simply not my type of place.

By the way, I was thinking about Mr. Federal Prime Minister when I said "Calgary" and red necks. Remember the old Reform party? But I know some pretty decent peoples who are from Calgary and some that still lives there. Same with Texas. My idea was just to image Ocoq's generalisation.

Personally i think since the escort have a nickname, then i should be able to have one, or at least just tell my first name...

Last time i was at a hotel expecting an escort, it was a "you need key to enter hotel" so the guy open the door for her and she walk to get in my room, he asked her where she was going, she said the room number, it seemed ok, but 3 min later, i got a phone call asking if the girl was gonna stay all night(i supose they would have charge me more) When i said to him its only for a while, it was ok, i think if he was not a retard he probably figured what it was...

I think its odd that some hotel would charge you extra $ for more person, i mean you pay for a room, not for a "place" We have been to many motels me and my roomate cause we where going in quebec to see metal shows, never an hotel or motel charge us more because we where 2. We always took the normal 1 bed 2 place room, cause my roomate never slept since he was on speed, so when i was sleeping for a few hours after the strippers, he would watch tv or listen to his MP3..

Anyway bottom line is , its like a taxi, you pay for the right to go to a place, dosen't matter how much people you are, as long as you are together...
