Agency girl running late - Should agency inform in advance?

During the past year, I had two instances where girl wasn't available to start booking on-time. By on-time, I consider a delay of 10 minutes or more as being late.

First time was an outcall to a downtown hotel. 5 minutes after the prearranged time came past and no communications, I texted agency and get a non-response response she will be there soon. She showed 10-15 minutes after appointment time.

Second time was an incall. I show up 1-2 minutes prior to prearranged time and texted to get room# only get a response girl is running 15 minutes behind.

Any reasons why the agency would not just proactively inform you for the delay or are they simply agencies not professionally operated (eg 2nd tier agencies)?

It is more complicated then this ,having been a Booker for many years delays outcalls or incalls are part of the business ,a agency which is never late doesn't service many clients .


One scenario that happens often ,the agency girl doesn't provide the correct info to the Booker ,so the agency can't really proactively inform the client

One of the incalls of a top tier agency is across the street from a supermarket. While that agency has never been late with a booking, the supermarket does serve as a staging area.

I simply prepare for it. 15 min is nothing. 15 min with no text from booker is annoying, but it's ok. 20 to 30 min with text from booker, ok I am still there. 20 to 30 with no text, I am gone (that only happened with indy).

Definitely anything later than 15 minutes should get a courtesy text or call.

I once had a girl come 3 hrs late with no call or text. I still accepted her when she buzzed as I had no plans for the night.

Not sure if the agency should be applauded for still honoring the booking and delivering the girl or shunned for not checking in with me beforehand.

15 Mins and under is the grace period. When she is 5 mins late, no worry , 10 mins i get a bit eager for her to arrive but its good exitement, 15 mins this is when ill drop a text to the booker. 20 mins i hope he answer the text by then and let me know whats up. 25 mins i get in plan B gear (search mode) and by 30 mins mark i would send a text to agency cancelling if i didn't had any news by then. If he does answer and says she will be there in 5 to 10 min ill say ok.

I don't mind being delayed as long as communication is there. I book for an hour and always say to the booker if there is gonna be delayed for whatever reason (girl arriving late, previous appointement delayed for whatever reason so it delay mine as well) just keep me in touch. I had mike back then text me once and letting me know he would arrive 30 mins late from original time, but he texted me 20 mins before booking time and he had a very good reason, the roads where crap that night. Thats another factor obviously, in winter if it snow or such it can take longer.

Obviously im more open to delay and all if the booking is early on, its easier to shift to plan B. I always try to book early anyway.

But yeah i agree with the first part of your message as its hard for a booker to really run everything by the minute. Especially for an outcall only agency, lots of driving around and if you serve outside the downtown area, even more. But i think its still important for the agency to keep the client updated if anything goes over 15 mins.

I know the guy is driving but you can have the girl answer the text during that time or whatever

No drivers but cabby's or even uber doesn't really cut it for a outcall agency

Just my opinion but the agency or indy would know 15 min before the meeting and should automatically call the customer, when I did outcall or even incall now I usually have to be somewhere at a certain time after, why should I be late because someone else is late, call ahead and let all be informed, not that difficult to do.

When you think about it, there are so many factors to consider especially for outcalls. I allow some delay. I agree that the booker needs to keep communication.

However I never really make a big deal regarding tardiness because in my experience, if she was late 30mins, she would stay an extra 30min. In the end, no harm done, unless you are on a tight schedule, but that's your problem.

I believe it is standard to give 30mins-1hr between each call, in case of delays or complications.

He runs at 10 girls a day usually. They almost all get fully booked. And yes i know there is "no proof" but i trust him.

And i think he found the perfect balance of incall/outcall to serve both side perfectly. Thats a lame excuse to say "oh but he is not a fully only outcall agency"

And i know Booker you gonna tell me your agency from 20 years ago ran 30 girls and such and such. But look things have change, the market has change, the customer satisfaction has change, and if an agency run 30 girls, they could very well hire more drivers and therefore it should not impact there services.

The bottom line is James has been running a 10 girls per day agency pretty much by himself exept on Week end where Matt do it, and has manage to keep high quality customer satisfaction on every level. And for that i raise my hat.
