Sheer was not the man of the hour at all. He may actually be partly responsible for Trudeau's reelection. He really didn't ooze honesty. I know we should not judge someone on apearance but i just wouldn't had trust the guy. Not to mention some of his comments were absymal too.

Some of you knows i can't stand Trudeau. I absolutely despise his political agenda on almost every aspect (minus legalizing weed, but im not a smoker) but i didn't wanted Sheer either. And im sure lots of peoples didn't trust him either and thats why ultiimately they didn't vote conservative.

Ill be honest, i don't think there has been a good leader for the big 3 federal parties since Jack Layton... I feel its such a shame that Jack passed away too soon, if he had not, i think maybe things would be different now. As one of my friends would say "Ya tellement l'air d'un bon jack" (pun intended). Mulcaire didn't had that, and i won't even comment on Singh. Trudeau is a bouffon and Sheer was what i stated above.

Thrilled to see the last of Scheer. Would be equally thrilled to see the last of Trudeau. There's something magical about politics in the way it consistently entices repulsive individuals to run for office. P.S.: Hello to you too Mr. Trump.

and hello Boris ;)

Telling you voting population is getting older and older. Thus the tendency to elect old bastard farts. We will unfortunately need to wait for the natural extinction of boomers before real change can be made.

cheers,

cheers,

I always knew you were an optimist, but as with escorts it is just a fantasy, an illusion, which will all disappear as soon as they are elected.
As most SP would say age is not important , with politicians it is not the cream, it is always the scumbags that rise to the top.

Look behind you.
Jaliman, the kids you adore have no solutions, they want results and they want them now. I am more worried about some kid who has zero ideas but will listen to any garbage thrown at them ( Greta ). These kids do not even know what sex they are or where the fuck they can pee.
My daughter is in university and some of the stories she tells me makes me cringe, kids crying because they do not get what they want, there is actually a flat earth society that really thinks the earth is flat. There are a safe rooms they can go onto in case they stress is too much for them. How the fuck can these kids ( university students ) cope with real problems? Demand a solution yes, solve it as they want ( right now ).. Sad really.
These kids are pampered with trophies for just trying, no scores are recorded so there are no losers. What kind of person will that mould.

Some viruses are tougher to get rid of than some others....

https://newstral.com/en/article/en/...fe-carried-wipes-and-we-didn-t-speak-moistly-

Doc

I don't think wipes alone will do the job of getting rid of this "Pathetic" virus especially if you cramp your 7 member family, wearing no mask
ant not social distancing.

Thank God he "Didn't speak moistly OR just speak" and spread the "Hate" virus.

Imagine this guy was PM, Trump wouldn't have been in the news.

The plane was flying with Elizabeth May anyway, probably all were self isolated including pilot and staff. Can see you had no issue with Trudeau taking his security detail from Ottawa to his Quebec cottage back and forth, guess it just depends on your political views what is right or wrong.

Trudeau is Canada's darling, the other guy is 'Canada's angriest man alive' scum, like the vaccine he seems to be very hard to get rid off.
He wants parliament to reconvene with 300+ members + support + security etc etc , what part of SDing he doesn't get it, what a moron.

see how many get triggered, you seem to fit in well.

Me just throwing bones out there man, just bones...

These types of arguments sit on top of a lack of understand of democracy or the various definitions of democracy. Are we considering a regime based on a constitutional, substantive, procedural or process oriented definition? I personally prefer procedural, where the basic foundation of democracy sits upon: fully contested elections, full suffrage, absence of massive electoral fraud and effective guarantees of civil liberties. Now, some people don't include the latter or include it to varying degrees, in their definitions, but for the argument being made it must be included as this is what would be being hampered by the undermining of checks and balances that Scheer is attempting to argue has happened. However, given than it was voted on by elected officials who will have to face public opinion again during election time, and that accountability still exists - the fundamental checks and balances have not changed, just their frequency, so there have been no substantial changes. It is therefore easy to conclude that democracy has in no way been altered by any basic definition in my, educated (Poli Sci major), opinion, by having less time to scrutinize the ruling party publicly.

Lets be clear that question and answer periods are not the only method of accountability in our system, it is not even the most effective one. The media and elections have far greater impacts on accountability, politicians are often left to make choices that will get them reelected by preventing scandals and staying in our good graces. When scandals occur the media broadcasts it gleefully and through this coverage we learn what is going on (who besides boring people like me, actually watches parliamentary debates?) and then we hold those we think are fucking with us accountable during elections - or did no one notice that Trudeau lost many seats because of how people chose to vote after the SNC-Lavalin scandal? Scheer is just playing on the average persons ignorance about politics - but I think he has extremely misjudged the political savviness of Canadians.

Derek Sloan, one of the leadership candidates of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Eastern Ontario MP says he would end carbon tax and gun ban, pull out of World Health Organization.
He said: I will introduce legislation to prevent economy-destroying lockdown again.

Mr. Derek Sloan, could you please introduce yourself to the US. We are a country that prioritizes human life over economy.

You also want us to become a country where anyone decides to use their gun against their neighbor.

Become like the US, which every year 40,000 people are killed by guns.
