How often do you receive investment advice from clients or "stocks to pick"? (as if the latter was a good idea for amateur investors–it's not)
I get unsolicited advice about a variety of subjects including how to be an escort by clients on a very regular basis. I've had clients give me really weird financial advice as well and it never applies to my personal situation. And yes I've been told to invest in stocks as well.
It doesn't happen on a regular basis but it's happened in situations in which I felt threatened or disrespected or anxious. If somebody makes me uncomfortable with something they did physically and if I feel there's a direct threat to my safety, I just don't see them again.Did you have occasions where you overreacted with a client?
And that afterwards you became conscious of it and clarified the situation or just wanted to hide yourself?
Sometimes it's not that clear cut, it's hard to tell people's intentions in this industry, not just clients but other providers as well. I've had misunderstandings that I clarified but I've definitely had situations with clients that were uncomfortable enough to make me really paranoid about others. Usually I prefer to clarify it.
I think one thing that I find really hard to deal with and mentally exhausting is having clients I see on a regular basis who are very very invested in this whole thing. That's a me problem and I can't control what my clients are doing, but it makes me worried that I can't trust them. That doesn't mean they're bad people and doing anything morally reprehensible but it's still stressful and it makes you overanalyze everything and question yourself all the time.
For instance we know there are "back channels" where a group of clients are sharing things about us and content in a non consensual way. That in itself is enough to cause a lot of fear for many of us. I've seen guys here claim there is an equivalent of that for us, but that isn't the case at all.
I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to defend somebody who's behaving in a non professional way, but many things about this job can be very stressful and even dangerous although you see the glamorous or sexy side of it online.
I make the choice to advertise here and share my thoughts and it's a controversial one that's highly criticized by peers. That doesn't make it easier to see a lot of things that are published here sometimes by your own clients. A lot of escorts look at the comments here even if they don't post anything. They don't always know who their clients are because guys are often reluctant to admit they use boards if you don't advertise on them.
I'm always so grateful to get your perspective and I think its so generous that you share here on the board even though you sometimes get flak for it. I'm wondering what you mean by "very very invested", I couldn't read between the lines to figure that out. Anyway, thanks again very much for sticking your neck out here, and wow you have a very beautiful neck.

Financial advice works 2 ways, lately a SP asked me if I would invest in her company. I said I will think it over...
Also I believe social media exaggerates the glamorous side of the escort industry. Of course, social medias are used as marketing tools and it's OK but we know that clients are not always gentlemen and not all encounters are great.
Yes. A few times in the last decade. Twice (same guy mind you, he had a different number and forgot he texted me before) when I was 18 because he said I looked too old (he was clearly hoping for an underage girl) and a couple other times because I wasn't their type. Only got compensated once and only because I insisted...
If it's a gift I'm taking it home. If it's to share, that's different and we're both drinking. But I am an independent and don't see 5 clients a day so one guy would have to bring a LOT of booze to get me this drunk lol
A dept store is too risky, legally speaking, and there's a risk of children being there or teenagers working there. I would do a bar bathroom though lol. I've always wanted to have sex at a bar, never done it so far.

That's not advice, that's her asking for your generosity and help. Advice is different
But I clarified "unsolicited advice" meaning I didn't ask for it. I think it's totally ok to offer advice or help if the person needs it from you, but the few times I have asked for help, subtly or not subtly, unfortunately fell on deaf ears. There is a gentleman however who had very kindly offered to help me with changing my laptop battery and I was too embarrassed to take him up on it so I got it fixed recently when it completely fell apart
I think what I mean by "very invested" in the industry and in "the hobby" is someone who is on this forum every day or almost, who talks about the industry very often and asks a lot of questions.. someone who is on every social media where escorts are posting and read every single one of my posts and other colleagues posts, who overstep a little.. people who I know read every single review of everybody, who have looked at every ad on every platform.
They often have seen many escorts and their excitement is cute for some of them but there can be a dark side. Some will talk about others with us and share details we aren't supposed to know, sometimes I feel compared.. some will deliberately try to cause conflicts or try to gain information about someone else.
In short - this doesn't concern you.
so you shouldn't worry yourself too much about this.---
But I get that vibe from some others, and it's not that I think they are bad people for it.. but I start feeling observed and exposed, it starts feeling like my privacy isn't safe or that they might exchange details about me with others even if they don't have negative intentions.
Before I advertised on this platform, I didn't really encounter this type of person at all. Even up until last summer, that wasn't common for me at all.
A few guys explained to me that they post here because they have no one to talk to about the fact that they see escorts... So I totally get it. But there's an issue of confidentiality and security.
I know I seem to be an open book and I'm face out but my private life is really important for me to maintain. When I entered the industry I could easily get bookings without having a ton of ads and constantly posting so I was still relatively anonymous. Now it's become really intense.
In the past most of my clients didn't look at review boards at all, or they just checked if I was a real person if they did. Now everyone sees everything and I could decide to have less exposure but then I'd have way less clients. I like it when someone enjoys my personality, intelligence and shares my interests! But it's different from somebody who just wants to talk about the industry and pry and gain information from me..

You are right of course, my mistake. I was comparing my situation with Luna's when she mentions that she has been told to invest in stocks.
Also, I think I can be generous and I am willing to help when I can. However I am far from being wealthy enough to risk investing tens of thousands of dollars in the business of somebody I barely know.
But when clients tell me to invest in stocks or how to manage my finances they don't give me money and invest in my business... They tell me what to do with my own money. Often assuming I am rich.
Often from one specific client but it never comes without money. Some clients send me crypto to invest. Some contribute to my TFSA
