bank fees how much do you pay ??????

Hi I am just curious how much bank fees do people pay? Do you need to deposit a certain amount to get a good rate? Which institution , al the details thanks !!!

I pay so damn much in banking and service fees for my business that the $8 or $10 monthly fee's I pay for my personal account seem like nothing to me. I think i paid close to $30,000 in Banking, credit card & debit card fees in 2012. As for personal its closer to $100/year.

What you really need to find out is how much you use your debit card & how many transactions your bank allows before they start charging you, this is one of their favorite schemes IMHO. I don't deal with ING for the simple reason that my bank is a 3 minute walk from work so it's convenient for me to go there.

ING is not my main bank yet. I use ING's debit card as an electronic wallet. I pay around 200$ a year, to get access to my own money with my other bank, crooks, but I am shifting to ING. You can use all the ATMs of Banque Nationale by the way to access your ING account. They also reimburse you when you use a non ING/BN ATM.

Yeah, you need to keep a minimum of 5000$ on your checking acount and you don't have to pay banking fees. I had that plan for a few years, then I opted out. It is ridiculous keeping 5000$ plus on a checking account, with no intrests, while you can invest that money elsewhere.

Never paid a dime in 10 years.
Can use CIBC ATMs as well as their own for free. Although I don't know why I keep going ATM with my bank, you never go ass to mouth.
