I wasn't enthused by Daniel Craig's performance in the last Bond film- I thought he looked old in the fight scenes and disinterested in other parts of the film. However, his performance in "Knives Out", which was in theaters earlier this year, was his best film performance to date and certainly better than any work he has done in any Bond movie. So in a sense, he has already moved on from Bond. I hope this is not a "one movie too long" situation, and that he did not save his best work for "Knives Out."

Craig is locked into a Knives Out sequel and will properly be paid big money for same:

His Benoit Blanc character is classic. Only a British guy can make a Kentucky accent sound like Foghorn Leghorn on steroids, yet somehow make the character work and become the glue character of that movie. He was almost like Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther.

I like Daniel Craig a lot, he's a great modern Bond, also a good actor in general.

But in terms of "best Bond", well...:

Craig is certainly closer to the literary version, but Sean is almost unbeatable as the screen Bond. Ultimately there are no bad Bonds (some say Lazenby - it's subjective)... each brought their own flavour... but Sean's is the standard, and will always be no matter what happens going forward.

Some say that Lazenby's fight scene execution was the best of any Bond, but he was a weaker actor than the others. Fight scene execution was his strength. He was an athletic dude.

I guess he had a certain intensity, but the speed-ramping in his fight scenes take me out of it a bit (and a few of the early Bond's for that matter). He also had a bit of a "flailing arms" technique in his fights, which I found off, and unrealistic.

I did appreciate all Bond's movies. I have all of them home and watch them regularly. I like them for different reasons but I should admit the ones prior to Daniel Craig are more cartoonesque. The Craig's ones seem more in accordance with the spirit of the Ian Fleming's books. Anyway Sean was a great actor and we will miss him.

Wow, this is weird. Looks like Tanya bounced back in a big way.
She is alive!
News reports now say she was very close to death and her boyfriend mistakenly thought she died and alerted the media.

Best Bond actor was Sean Connery and Roger Moore. They had the charisma and classic British suave and cool collected type. I cannot say I have a favorite bond movie but I like A View to A Kill, GoldenEye, Dr.No, Goldfinger, etc.. The Living Daylights, etc. I did not like any of the newer movies with Craig. I stopped watching all Bond movies since Craig. I watch just the classic ones. I do not like the way they are making the movies now. I remember playing GoldenEye on N64 and that is when I got into the Bond films. The first Bond movie I ever watched was A View to a Kill.
