Best Downtown places to pick up regular girls

OK, checked out the scene tonight (Saturday) - midnight through 1:30am. The whole Crescent Street thing is a 20-something grunge crowd - particularly Mad Hatter; so, at least on a Saturday summer night, it's a waste.

The Hotel Montagne lobby bar was more age-appropriate, but you can't tell if the woman that catches your eye and give you that come-hither look is buying or selling. Did not go upstairs - might have been different.

The Sheraton Center did not seem too bad, just too many guys.

St Paul had some action, but again, it was mostly 20-somethings. Remember when it was cool just to sit on the curb and have a beer and a cigarette? Me neither.

Migrating scene Vs migrating crowd

The pick up scene has been spread out to many bars outside the Downtown area. Depends on the season. During summer time, Les Terrasses are where you can find a lot more people.

It also depends also on your personality. You can pick up a girl at any occasion: bars, waiting line, Jazz Fest, weddings, funerals - even outside a bar if she's a smoker. You just have to put your balls on the line and not on the bar.

A friend and I believes the new type of clubbing that people do influence the crowd we encounter.

Friday night exemple: The Plan B on Mont-Royal has, for a considerable time, two distinct crowd on the same night.

1 - The Happy Hour crowd that goes there before going to the restaurant. (4pm to 8pm) - good transition from work to pleasures
2 - Late night Clubbers that are gattering themself before going clubbing. (10pm +)
In both crowds, there're interesting and interested ladies.

If you're looking for a bar or a club where picking up girls is like fishing out of a barrel, let me say that there's no such place. If there was, it would be where there's the longest line of men waiting at the door.

For me, the list of places outside the common Downtown clubs, where I go to meet new people is:
Plan-B on Mont-Royal
The Circus on Ste-Cat
The Go-Go bar on St-Laurent
Starbuck on Mont-Royal
Edgar HyperTaverne during weekdays (when there's less 450)
Baldwin Barmacie on Laurier

I just go there with the idea of having some fun.
