I keep hearing about 99-cent pizza, but I've never seen one.

Why don't they have any downtown locations?

I also have to try Al-Taib one of these days.

That is per slice - basic cheese and tomato sauce, XL cut into 8 pieces.

My favorite pizza is from a place in Verdun called Trevi. Especially the alldressed with Italian sausage. Absolutely despise pizza from those so called 'two for one' joints or Pizza Hut or any other chain restaurant. Although I have to admit to ordering from Domino's on occasion. And yes...their Brooklyn style pizza is now available here.

Speaking of chain restaurants...has anyone tried Boston Pizza? They seem to be popping up everywhere.

Would a "very solid" pizza be overcooked?

No, and I never got an overcooked pie at Santa Lucia. I don't think it is the best pizza I ever had, but is it better than some of the hotel pizzas I have ordered? Absolutely. If you are staying at the Sheraton it is certainly a greater late night choice than the Sheraton's room service pizza, and Santa Lucia will deliver for free.

Will they deliver downtown?

Don't think so but I would be happy to bring you over there next time you are in town. Maybe we could organize a little pizza tasting excursion for the pizza lovers of the board.

Which Do You Prefer?

Which type of crust do you prefer? Too many types to list but I prefer thin.

Cheese on topping, toppings on cheese, mixed,no difference? Prefer cheese on toppings.

Restaurants that offer sitdown dining and take-out or delivery often have mixed results since the time and distance on take-outs or delivered pizza varies. Is there a major difference with your favourite or not? With mine it is a function of the time of day.

New System BBQ on N.D.

They have this crazy house special with thinned onions,(dunno if that makes sense)real bacon,(not the shitty square plastic kind)and the slices are huge N.Y. style. It's really something.I ordered a jumbo with some friends and laughed sooo hard cuz we were in such awe of this goliath.

Thanks. I appreciate the offer/suggestion. By the way, where's the closest Boston Pizza from downtown Mtl?

I have to say BarDeco. Its the best Pizza I've ever had and also been rated as the best in Montreal by the Gazette.

Site looks like crap (http://www.bardeco.com/)... and so does the restaurant even if they tried real hard to make it a little "chic" and failed.

Not sure which one to get.. .just try their version of the standard "all dressed"... The ElGringo Pizza. Its out of this world.

They also have a really good submarine on pizza bread my fav is the Bella & Fries.

Check it out guys, its a little more expensive, but well worth it!

Please let me know if you guys ever try it ;)

My friends will now drive there to get one.

Cheers!

it's being a while I haven't gone there and
have completely forgotten about them...but now that you bring it back on the loop, Yes...it's true, BarDeco pizzas are really good.
Thanks for reminding us of their Pizza.
Next time I'll go there, I will surely try their Bella & Fries though.

On Newman in Lasalle. About ten-minute drive from downtown.

Thanks! I know that area a bit, but i haven't been there in over a year or so. Is it close to the Angrignon mall?

For something a little different, you must try the very thin crust pizza at Les Trois Brasseurs. One on St Catherine and McGill the other is On St Catherine and Lucien L'Allier

there are not called pizzas but "les Flams" and please correct on the terminology.

But there just wonderful and makes for a nice change from the traditional.
