Frozen Pizza...

They typically taste like rubber sandals topped with kerosene but I found one that is quite acceptable : Dr. Oetker. Thin crust, Roman style, DO NOT OVERCOOK...

Elio Pizzeria, mentioned a few times here, used to make a good one but it's been a long time for me so I wouldn't know now. There's Dante, of course, Martini on Lajeunesse...

My problem is I like Neapolitan-style pizza. 1983, I had one in Naples (Italy, not Florida) which I can't get over. It was more oily than the typical Neapolitan margherita, which wasn't a problem au contraire, cooked to perfection, all the aromas in balance... Had it with Ceres beer...

I haven't yet found a place in Montreal that makes it that way - so I make my own. Moreover Ceres beer is not imported here. :(

Ustica in little Italy I have almost done them all in this area I find is the best better than La bottega or Napolitain( which was good years ago) the other places around this neighborhood

Good. That's much more than just a sign of loyalty: that means it's a real good savourish pizza. Gonna try it and I will enjoy their pizzas while thinking about all these years you kept appreciating them.

I forgot about Toto! I think I'll order one this week to see if it is still as good as it used to be!

Oh...they may have been there for over 30 years, but my favorite Trevi has been in business since 1961! They both must be doing something right.:p

One of my favorites from the past was called Pizza Pinocchio, I think it was on Sherbrooke St. west in NDG if I remember correctly. Unfortunately the place no longer exists.

For some reason, I really have a taste for pizza right now. I wonder why? :D

PP (Pinocchio Pizza) rocked for a while.
I've recently ran through some of their staff at another Mtl Pizzeria place, but I can't remember the name. That place was not as good as PP though.

Worst Pizza In Montreal

The hotel restaurant at the Delta Montreal on President Kennedy is serving the most disgusting pizza I have ever tasted. I only ate there because the weather was really, really bad one night last spring. I went down to the bar and ordered the pepperoni pizza, and it was gross. I ate one slice and felt nauseous, paid and told the waitress to please take the food away because it was grossing me out looking at it and smelling it, and I thought I would barf if I looked at it any longer. After that I went back up to my room, gargled like a half a bottle of listerine to get that disgusting taste out of my mouth, then took a cab downtown and had a souvlaki at Boustan's.

I considered complaining to the Montreal Health Department because I don't feel any restaurant, even a hotel restaurant of which we generally expect less, should be serving such vile food. However, I figured that because I did not actually vomit (only felt like it), they probably would not do anything.

Just avoid the Delta Montreal's pizza, it's the worst ever.

Il Focolaio Pizza Resto

With more than 64 kinds of pizza to choose from, no other pizzeria in town even comes close to the incredible selection Il Focolaio offers.

1223, rue du Square-Phillips
Montreal, QC H3B 3E9
Phone: (514) 879-1045

You find choices like pepperoni and cheese or all-dressed really boring? Il Focolaio Pizza Resto offers more than 64 varieties of pizza, each one having the comforting taste of pizzas baked in wood ovens. Whether you like blue cheese, broccoli, goat cheese, clams, shrimp, black olives, asparagus, salmon, smoked meat, Swiss cheese or sun-dried tomatoes. In fact, customers spend most of their time trying to decide which pizza seems most appealing, a dilemma most pizza-lovers don't mind facing. You can also try the calzones filled to perfection or the big Italian sausage sub sandwich.

If you like real Napolitana pizza you should try Prato Pizzeria on St-Laurent very close to the real one.

i'm not gonna say BEST, but at 4-5am after a long day & night of drinking... Angela's on De Maisonneuve West is clutch. Especially when staying about a block up at the Clarion....

I had forgotten about Angela's, but Uncle Kracker is right on the money with this one. Angela's is also a great place to eat lunch, especially if you are trying to save your money for more important ventures (hobbying). They have lots of lunch specials every day.
