#1 Da giovanni pizza 572 St Catherine St E, for a thicker pizza i give it the nod as best and consistant and all their other food is as good.
you are full when you leave here 2 sizes id recommend the smaller portion or you will be jammed

Is the pizza good or is it just an excuse to hang around the area?

At Da Giovanni the pizza is good. But Boston Pizza?!!?!?!?!?, nah it's corporate crap.

No offence to the ones who like it, but I would never put BP as best in Montreal.

Ellio's Pizza
Nick Pizzeria Repentigny

And as for little Italy you almost can't go wrong with any pizza place

Gema in Little Italy is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in Montreal. A close second would be Vesta.

I did notice that. But who cares, IMHO a best pizza thread is worth bringing back to life!

i agree a pizza thread cannot be wrong.

I am surprised by the quality of pizza 900 chain. Simple, effective and good pizza. Does not beat Botega but still.

For traditional US pizza Marconi on Beaubien is my favourite. Ask for their extra sauce it’s crazy haha

With so many replies it seems obvious that most people don't care that the thread is 12 years old. CBB's posts are always entertaining and welcome and are certainly not spam.

well there was some irrelevent posts ,but it seems to be gone now:fat:.
Pizza is a very interesting business, with lots of competition in the cities.
Lasalle

Manzo pizza is very good as well best known for their famous subs.1033 90e Av, LaSalle (514) 366-131

Pizza Giuseppe 1460 Dollard Ave, Lasalle wood stove cooked
in unique, but my problem with them is ,
they are not consistant,
sometimes very good sometimes not and overpriced.

When it comes to pizza in the heart of downtown, I like this place:

https://no900.com/en/restaurants/peel-montreal/

https://no900.com/en/

Neapolitan style., cooked fast in special ovens, great crust, natural ingredients.

It’s part of a small chain with locations around the city.

They are now close to 30 franchises... I have now been to 4 of them. I love everything about this chain. Their menu, look, atmosphere and they do Pizza like I like!

Except well once in a while I need a US style all dressed pizza... And Marconi on Beaubien has the best one!

Cheers,

Went to the pizzeria no900 at the 10/30 this summer and it reminded me so much of Italy, nice atmosphere, good food typical pizza from the Milan area.
service was great and price was on the high end, the only negative.
