Here's the rumor about Trudeau, as repeated by a website called "the Buffalo Chronicle." I don't think it's a reliable source of news, but then neither is the New York Times or the New Yorker magazine. Those publications have reported lots of unsubstantiated stories related to sex about Trump, Brett Kavanaugh, Woody Allen and a host of other men.

Even if this is true, and I think it might be, then I don't think it should disqualify Trudeau from running for re-election. I like the old French (from France) way of dealing with sex scandals involving politicians and other prominent men-they just ignore them.

Less than two weeks ahead of federal elections that have already been looking conclusively grim for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, rumors of an explosive sex scandal are percolating at the highest echelons of Canada’s media establishment.

Ottawa’s longest-tenured political observers had been expecting a career-ending expose in Sunday’s edition of The Globe and Mail —but that story never came. Sources are now telling The Chronicle that Trudeau is in private talks with the principal source of that piece to suppress explosive sex allegations that, if made public, would likely force Trudeau to resign his office.

Trudeau’s accuser is said to be a former student at West Point Grey Academy and the daughter of a wealthy Canadian businessman. Sources tell The Chronicle that she is being represented by counsel and is being offered monetary compensation in exchange for a pending, but not yet signed, non-disclosure agreement.

Trudeau worked as a substitute teacher at the private school from 1999 until an abrupt and poorly explained departure in June of 2001. At the time of his departure he hired his father’s lawfirm, Heenan Blaikie, to represent him in the matter. The firm issued a bizarre statement that denied that Trudeau was leaving his part-time position in order to pursue public speaking opportunities. He was 29 years old.

The Chronicle is unable to evaluate the veracity of widespread rumors that Trudeau regularly received fellatio from students while on the private school’s campus. He worked at the academy as a substitute teacher in drama, social studies, and mathematics.

Just over a year after his departure, he began studying engineering at Polytechnique Montreal but left that program shortly thereafter.

It made me think: "Yeah, I could believe that he had sex with a female student." Given the way that women go gaga over Trudeau today, why wouldn't some 17 year old girls have willingly had sex with him when he was a 29 year old teacher who was always hanging out with the students? Sex happens in such circumstances.

If it did happen, so what. There are 100 other reasons why I think Trudeau is a bad PM.

I am now sure that the story is false. And I apologize for posting the rumors originally. I contacted a prominent journalist at the Globe and Mail and he told me the story is bogus.

I aswell believed the story to be true from this thread . So I did a bit of searching , but nothing came up ... not yet at least . But it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if JT had a sexual relationship with one of his students . Maybe it’s been suppressed for good , who knows ? . I did learn though that the polls have the two party leaders deadlocked and the media is calling this election one of the closest in a long time so every bit of mudslinging helps I guess .

I would be skeptical of any particular rumor in that article, though I think it's true that he left the school abruptly under somewhat mysterious circumstances.

Still, this particular rumor sounds strange:

In his 2014 autobiography, Trudeau says he left the school after a dispute with the administration over an article written in the school newspaper. According to Trudeau, he convinced a student to write an article criticizing the fact that the girls at the school were never reprimanded for the way they dress. This article was deemed disrespectful by the school’s administration.

You would think that someone like Trudeau would criticize administrators because they reprimanded girls for the immodest way they dressed. But maybe he found the girls' dress too tempting and he was blaming them for seducing him. Wh0 knows? It's all much ado about nothing, but it's fun to see an icon of the left become a victim of #MeToo type rumors.
