COVID-19 in Brazil: How Jair Bolsonaro created hell on earth.

The President of Brazil has deliberately promoted the spread of the virus to polarize the political game to his advantage and to facilitate the deployment of a completely destructive government program.

Brazil has experienced what has arguably been the worst political response to the pandemic under the spur of far-right president Jair Bolsonaro.

His choices in dealing with COVID-19 have sparked an unprecedented tragedy in this country, with potentially catastrophic implications for the entire world.

Explained: Why Brazil's Bolsonaro is being investigated over COVID response.

Delayed vaccines, oxygen shortages, ineffective COVID treatments. In Brazil, a commission is investigating what role President Jair Bolsonaro's government played in one of the worst coronavirus outbreaks in the world.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has launched an attack on coronavirus vaccines, even suggesting that the one developed by Pfizer-BioNTech could turn people into crocodiles or bearded ladies.

And crocodile will eat human like zombie scene.

Bolsonaro should ask trump to get him plenty of bleach.

Two beautiful morons.

I wonder when is the next Brazilian election to oust Bolsonaro as President? His covid response in Brazil makes Trump look like an American hero.
General elections are scheduled to be held in Brazil on 2 October 2022 to elect the President, Vice President and the National Congress.

Yes, another who says it's just the flu.

Yesterday 468,000 dead for a population of 212 million.

Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro led a throng of motorcyclist supporters through the streets of Sao Paulo on Saturday and got hit with a fine for failure to wear a mask.
Sao Paulo’s state government press office said a fine — equivalent to about US$110 — would be imposed for violation of a rule that has required masks in public places since May 2020.

Population = 212 millions
Yesterday = 3,000 dead
Total = 494,000 dead and this number is underestimated.

Bolsonaro had done nothing to get more vaccines.

Imagine in Brazil it's a disaster, for to the worst global management of the pendemic by Jair Bolsonaro.

The deaths rate is 2.79%, all this in Brazil only. Just the last 24 hours, in Brazil , 53,000 new cases and 1539 deaths.

RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct 15 (Reuters) - A Brazilian Senate probe into the government's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic will recommend in its final report due next week that President Jair Bolsonaro face 11 criminal charges, the senator leading the inquiry said on Friday, though it remains highly unlikely that he will face a trial on any such charges.

The far-right president, who himself was infected with the coronavirus in July 2020, has railed against lockdown measures, pushed unproven cures, sowed vaccine doubts and downplayed the severity of COVID-19.

With a population of 212 million, there have been 603k deaths

Well done Bolsonaro.

Many Brazilians are upset at the president's handling of the pandemic.

A poll by the Atlas Institute suggested that 61% of Brazilians described his government's performance as bad or very bad, up from 23% when he first took office in January 2019.
The Brazilians are waking up.

Bolsonaro's handling of the pandemic amounted to mass murder, genocide, and charlatanism, according to a Brazilian senate committee.

Earlier this year, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro mocked the claim that his administration’s reckless handling of the coronavirus pandemic—which has entailed everything from straight denialism to promoting a cocktail of miracle drugs—was tantamount to genocide. Well, the Brazilian Senate has now concluded he is guilty of both genocide and regular old mass murder.

According to the New York Times, legislators assigned to the congressional investigation have determined in a draft report that Bolsonaro deliberately let the novel coronavirus rip through the Brazilian population, killing hundreds of thousands.

Perhaps JB could try to defend himself by saying he was following the example set by the famous leader of another country who also lied, denied, ignored science and suggested using so-called miracle drugs and household cleansers.

“This is the first time I've seen some official action taken that accurately represents how I feel about the crimes we have all witnessed,” says Chris Hayes on a panel finding Brazil's president at fault for their botched Covid response.

“Bolsonaro and Trump, along with several others like them around the world, willfully got hundreds of thousands of people killed.”

The elected leader of a country by definition isn't just a bystander.

Yes- fully support this initiative to hold them accountable. Leaders are meant to protect their citizens.

Yes, many thousands are dead because of the way T and B totally mishandled the pandemic right from the start.
The inflation is very high in Brazil. The former president Lula that was falsely accused of fraud, has 44% support for president and Bolsonaro 24%.
Brasil Population see how a failure Bolsonaro has been.
