Long time lurker, second time poster.

I’ve used the services of very reputable Montreal agencies over the years for incall and outcall. I always used my real number and my home for outcall - might be stupid, I know.

I was getting a little anxious today. What if the agency gets busted, they check their texts, and go after their clients?

Is this a realistic scenario? Thanks!

Well reputable agencies screens for real numbers so you are definitely not the only one here.

The authorities are well aware of the existence of this agencies and they are still operating after so many years which tells me that they prefer them to operates in the grey area instead of going underground

And unless you become a danger for someone you are good!! Just stick with the adults and be respectful.

As @RickRoss88 pointed out, law enforcement typically does not concern themselves with agencies as long as they operate in a respectful and professional manner.

cops dont have that much time to go into their phone books and look for johns. that's just not realistic

The US has a vendetta against prostitution. Up to today I still do not under do extreme puritanical attitude of the American government.

A bit like a bank, if there would be proven personal info leaks, it would not be good for their reputation.

I tried to contact once with my pink line (Fongo). They told me to use my regular cell.

Our “clients list” would usually be on our phones. Unless they have a warrant to search and seize, they wouldn’t take the phones.

Very easy to reset a phone if you need to erase proofs. Someone told me to not use the “facial recognition” or “fingertips” to unlock your phone because law enforcement could force your phone open. Not sure if true but for that reason I only use a passcode to open my phone and after a few unsuccessful attempts, it locks it.

Like many said, law enforcement is after people that would be sex trafficking or pimping. Agencies aren’t considered as such otherwise you would hear about busts every other week.

Unless you deal with a shady agency where girls look awfully young or like they don’t really want to be there, you don’t have much to worry about

Under what circumstances can police search my phone without a warrant?

In R v Fearon, 2014 SCC 77, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that the police can view some information in cell phones without a warrant when making an arrest.

There are four conditions that need to be met:

a) The arrest must be lawful;

b) the search must be truly incidental to the arrest;

c) the nature and the extent of the search must be tailored to its purpose;

d) and the police must take detailed notes of what they examined and how they examined the device.

Potential police abuse while searching cell phones without a warrant is a great concern to the defence.

They can also get deleted texts from your service provider.
