Client proof of age?

I'm still very new to the hobby, so I'm curious: do SP's ever feel the need to ask their clients to prove their age? Are there instances where clients get "carded" to prove they are not legally underage?

I'm 35 with a few grey hairs and a typical "dad" body, so it's not a real concern for me personally, but I understand there are other Merbistes still in their 20s, some of whom might still look young enough to pass for a teen.

I was also thinking back to my high school days and hearing stories from my football teammates, some of whom were not yet quite 18, who took a trip to a certain strip club just north of the border and enjoyed some "extras."

I've also noticed a few "older" indy SPs who, in their ads, state they only accept clients over age 25 or even 30.

SPs: Ever have any doubts upon meeting a client that they were old enough to be considered a consenting adult? How do you handle those instances?

Hobbyists: Ever have an SP (or MP) ask you for proof of your age? If so, what was your reaction?

Yeah, a bit of a gut, you might say. The kind of body you get when you're over 30 and don't have as much time for decent exercise. Kind of like how Christian Bale can go from American Psycho to American Hustle.

Also, the type of body you might see on actors playing the Dad on a typical family sitcom. See also: Ray Romano, Jim Belushi, Tim Allen.

It happened to me and I asked the client to show me a valid ID card. I explained him that it's a very serious concern and that I needed to be sure he was old enough to give consent and he did not mind showing his ID.

I have yet to be "carded", and if I were to be asked, I'd just leave. Don't want to be giving out my info all willy nilly.

That being said though, i dont think looking above 18 is saying much, even if you have a baby face. I do fall under the looking younger though, but definitely no doubt look above 18. (29 but asian...so I wont be hitting puberty for another 5 years lol). I avoid the ads that say above 30, which is a shame cause I would love to see Stacy.

Probably not necessary if she's from a reputable agency. On the other hand, if she's an independent who you found through an ad on some classifieds site like annonce or Craigslist, it might be warranted.

Of course, I would think that, in either case, an SP is going to be less willing to show an ID with her real name than a client might be.

...which leads to a very pertinent and fascinating question: What does either party do when the person in question refuses to show proof of their age? I imagine most SPs would just walk out. I imagine most clients would too if they had any real doubt. I know I would. Even if the girl could prove she was of age, I wouldn't feel comfortable with her if she looked underage.

I have asked for ID once. The guy was 18.

I was also asked for ID a few times when I was 18 and had no problem showing my ID. I’d just put my thumb on my real name to hide it and only show my face picture and date of birth. And only face to face obviously lol.

When i was a booker for that short period, i had a women call me saying she wanted to pay her 18 years old virgin son an escort. He never had sex and she tough it could help him. Coolest mom in the world if you ask me :lol:. I talked about it to the girl i recommanded for him and she was cool with it, i told her to verifv his age with an ID just in case. Thinking about it back today it could had been so much a joke, but it was not. Booking got trough smoothly exept we had to reschedule once (on behafe of the escort). Both the guy and his mom where very greatfull of my handling of the booking. They mentioned to me they called a few agencies and had very negative experience (they probably taugh it was a joke or something, can't blame too much the bookers lol)

Personally when it comes to ID when i was in my early 20s it all had to do with my beard. If i shaved you could be sure i would be carded, if i had my big beard i would not. Last time it happened i was 27 (yeah...lol) it was a new young employee at the grocery store, had shaved, and she probably didn't wanted to take a chance.

I know this is off topic. But I think the dad body is just an excuse to be lazy. Doing pushups and situps everyday dosen’t cost anything. A stationnary bike is about the price of 1 hour with an sp. not snacking at night will save you money.
Not having a dad body is a great way to get higher mileage for yourself.
Or. Keep the dad body and I will keep getting the higher mileage because of all you dad bodies out there

I wouldn't be.so sure. Google "Dad bod" and you'll find several articles suggesting most women are at worst, indifferent to it, and there are at least as many women who prefer it as dislike it.

I'll acknowledge it's probably more of a trend here in the States, though, as opposed to Canada, and especially Montreal.

At 35 I do not think anyone will mistake you for an underage kid. I do not know any SPs that offer seniors discounts. I have never been asked for proof of age. In this sort of endeavour I would think anonymity is a must, on both sides.

Actually in all honesty several SP's have told me that the job has led them to the state of mind that they care far less what a guy looks like (for their personal life) and that it's mostly about personality. However, you have more experience than me around SP's...

Please note. I said all things being equal. You are right. Personality trumps body any day for a provider in a client relationship

I've never had that problem because young men seem to avoid me. If I were in doubt about their age I would definitely as them to kindly show their ID

Well! She never complain about my dad bod but it certainly depends of what I'm doing with it! haha!
