Yep and to add another carbon tax, force vegetarianism, and force to eat insects because that will stop climate change.

I kept in touch with a former British post-doc, and yesterday it was 40 degrees.

There they have NEVER experienced that.

And in addition they have almost no air conditioning.

The doctors said there's going to be a lot of death from the heat.

No no it's not climate change, maybe it's because of fire flies?

Good God. The UK generally has a damp cool climate similar to Vancouver but they do get heat waves from time to time. Not as often as what we get in our neck of the woods but it happens.
Where did you get that "NEVER experienced " fact? That country has been around for over 1000 years and they NEVER hit 40 degrees?
Actually 1976 was one of the hottest British summers on record. Pop culture historians have credited this heat with aggravating social unrest which in turn sparked the UK Punk Rock movement.
Yup, they had at least one heat wave 45 years ago and managed to survive.
Just so you know the pm in charge in 1976 was a real Leftist named James Callaghan whose high taxation policies almost wrecked the country until Thatcher was elected and improved things dramatically.

All we need is another carbon tax or two problem solved.
This tax is guaranteed to make it rain wherever it is needed and cool things down.

In Roman times the climate in England was close to today southern France. Romans cultivated grapes over there.

10,000 years ago the Sahara Desert was a lush rainforest. They found evidence of this. The Earth's wobble is responsible for this. Of course the Liberals will declare climate alarmism to push their deranged agenda like a carbon tax, force electric cars, force you to go vegatarian, eat bugs, and soon you will have climate lockdowns. The alt-left are twisted.

A brutal and dangerous heat wave is causing multiple crises across Europe. France is dealing with wildfires, while officials in Portugal and Spain say the extreme heat has led to the deaths of more than 1,000 people so far.

On every news chanels I follow, there are examples of extreme conditions.
Example, landing strips in Great Britain are damaged by extreme heat.
But no need to worry, we have posters here that know much more than climate scientists around the world !

For the first time in history, the British Government has activated the "red alert" and the "national emergency" for a heat wave, fearing that temperatures will exceed 40 degrees in the United Kingdom for the first time between Sunday and the Monday.

The historical maximum to date, 38.7 degrees, was registered in 2019 in Cambridge.

There it begins the Progressives pushing for Climate Alarmism. They want to set a state of Climate Emergency which essentially means bills will be passed by decree. One step closer to Climate Lockdowns. Notice the similarities with Covid Alarmism. All being pushed by the Progressives.

“We have a choice. Collective action or collective suicide. It is in our hands,” United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres told leaders from more than 40 countries who had gathered in Berlin for the Petersberg Climate Dialogue.

Guterres called for global leaders to work together to reduce emissions from burning fossil fuels, invest in adaptation and for developed nations to make good on the funding they’ve promised to lower-income nations.

Guterres made his comments as many nations around the world have been suffering from record high temperatures and raging wildfires.

That is total alarmist BS, the climate will do what ever it wants to do.
It is not in our hands we cannot compete with or alter nature to make such a huge difference.
There are deserts where there were once oceans there are continents that were once joined whole islands have disappeared.
All this when man hadn’t even invented the wheel so who the fuck was to blame then.
There should have been a cave man carbon tax a couple of T Rex bones or something it is all their fault maybe they had leaders like Selfie JT and Sleepy Joe.

Thick Artic ice means can mean only one thing...Global Warming!
Where art thou, Greta?

You cite a reference made by a senile botanist.
You always find mostly unreliable references.
If you search on the web, you will probably find an important number of "scientists" that prove that the the planet earth is flat.
In reality, the planet isn't perfectly round !

Oh ya climate alarmism. The climate is out to get you. So we need a carbon tax, go vegatarian, and eat insects. Nuff said!
I agree, Leave your car home, and ride a horse or a donkey to work. Oh yeah, your laptop or PC has carbon signature, so destroy it. :( if you can't do that, don't talk to me about climate change. Just yak yak taka yak. All just talking, come on guys, do it. Take action, Nobody dare to do it. Dont have guts to leave your car and ride a donkey. Sigh.

Unpopular opinion: the US should have never let China into the WTO. The pace of their industrialization surged CO2 into the atmosphere, like no country before it. If their growth had been managed at 25% of the pace, we'd still have 1 or 2 more decades to work with. But the IPCC already said last summer we've precious little time left.

In 1990, China produced 2,400 tonnes of CO2. 2017: 10,877. No doubt the increase was due to production for the rest of the world, but MIT estimates that exports only accounted for 30% of the increase. The rest was purely domestic consumption. Ever heard of a city called Chongqing? If you combined the populations of LA, New York, Toronto, Seattle, Montreal, Vancouver, Miami and Houston, it'd still be smaller than the 44M people now living in Chongqing. And that's just 1 of the many cities built in China in the last 20 years.

In the same time period, the US went from 5,085 to 5,107. The EU went from 4,409 to 3,548. Canada increased from 456 to 617. India went from 606 to 2,455.
