Look behind you.
So far the police have given out 6,300ish tickets averaging $1,000.00. With that income why stop the curfew.

And why stop before September the mandatory quarantine in hotel at 2,000$ for 3 days ? The federal gvt want canadians to spend their summer vacations in Canada to collect the GST from goods and services bought in Canada. That will help Trudeau to get back a little from all the CERB checks. And the strategy is working ; I tried to find a camping ground for the summer, all booked!

Yep yet Lego the dictator insists on his silly curfew. Consider this Quebec is the only place in North America with a curfew and cases dropped everywhere. I took the metro today and it was crowded. Wal-Marts and Costco is crowded but that is allowed but no one can go out at night see a friend. This is Orwellian Society 1984 and it is complicit bow down to the government sheep that keep this going on. I suspect this curfew will go on all summer probably they will make it later till 10pm but the curfew will be there.

In Quebec statistically most covid case stem from private gatherings and NOT from the Walmarts , Costcos, or the metro, etc.. Which makes sense because when you are out shopping you are usually not close to any particular person long enough to get infected, but that is a different story in a social gathering of many people whether private or not. So the curfew seems warranted to me.

^^^^^ Really? What if you want to go shopping or need to get gas at night. Not all have the convenience to do all their activities between 5 and 8.

You are just repeating what politicians say. I will say to wake up and smell the coffee. The reality is NOWHERE else in North America is there a curfew and cases dropped everywhere. Ontario's cases dropped by the same amount and they never had a curfew. Explain that. Science and statistics show there is no evidence that shows curfews are effective. But it is an example of a police state. One last thing a curfew is an infringement on our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We have the right to socialize. Over 50% of cases came from schools and workplaces yet Lego the dictator insists to send kids to schools. The one thing I realized Canadians are just not interested in freedom. In the 21st century we are fighting the same evil again which is communism. The politicians are not following science they turned this into politics and these decisions are based on his personal beliefs. It is also a matter of public record that he did not follow the recommendations of his health minister. Imagine this it took a court decision to get Lego the dictator to leave the homeless alone in his ridiculous curfew. That tells all.

I almost always did my groceries after 7pm to avoid the crowds now I got no choice but to waste my time stuck in a line up and go when it is crowded.

Me I do not. I do not wake up before 12pm so it best for me to go late. Rush hour got to be avoided. And before you say I should wake up early my job requires me to work late shifts so I am conditioned with the schedule of my work.

Ok i wasn't going to say you should wake up early....lol.. I understand that people work different hours, and i understand your predicament. Yes it is inconvenient and hopefully the curfew will not last too long. In the meantime, one solution might be to order food online temporarily. I hate lineups too and when i see a lineup outside i just go another day or order online.

I rearranged my schedule a bit I work longer shifts to have extra days off so I do my groceries on my off days before 4pm. Much less rush but still it is way better to do it after 7pm. Yep I hope this curfew ends soon.

I did the maxi thing at 6:15pm on a weekday, finished shopping at 6:45pm and then waited in line to pay until 7:30pm...Same wait at the self checkout.. Never again !

I think political reality is that the curfew cant run for more than 2 more weeks or the end of the month. The COVID numbers are dropping and by months end the should be enough to have some substantial easing of restrictions. The 3 day hotel quarantine is a fiasco designed to discourage spring break travel to COVID hot spots south of the border. It will end shortly after the last determined spring breaker finishes their 2 weeks.
